Review on VGEC, Ahmedabad

Overall Rating
Vishwakarma Government Engineering college is located in Chandkheda, which is in the main city so you will get all types of transportation facilities. The academics are followed as per the Gujarat Technological University (GTU) which is very decent and good. You get all branches of Engineering in VGEC. The campus life is just amazing and you can the live most memorable 4 years of your life there. The faculties are very supportive, helpful, and also well qualified. The fee is Rs. 1,500 per year which is again a plus point.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Computer Engineering course at the Vishwakarma Government Engineering College because I am very much interested in computer science, coding, AI, ML, etc. For admission in engineering you have to complete your 12th grade from recognized board and you have to attempt JEE or GUJCET and then you can get admission through ACPC.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is well qualified as almost every faculty holds PhD in their particular field. They are very supportive, kind, and very helpful in everything like solving doubts to making new projects. The style of teaching is very good of almost all the faculties. There are definitely some faculty members who do not teach in a very good way and you might not understand their explanations.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, VGEC has its own placement cell. The cell trains students for facing the personal interviews successfully and support in enhancing their interpersonal skills as well as communication skills. TCS, IBM, Thomson Rueter, IGate, Tech Mahindra, etc. are some of the leading companies that are visiting the campus regularly.
 

Hostel Rating
The Vishwakarma Government Engineering College provides good accommodation to its students. There is a boys’ hostel with a capacity of 540 male students and a girls’ hostel with a capacity of 180 female candidates. There are messes in both hostel campuses. Sports facilities are also provided to the hostellers.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has total 15 blocks, library, sports ground, 2 boys’ hostels, and 1 girls’ hostel. There are washrooms and toilets in each block and honestly they are not so clean. There are total 3 parking lots where you can park your vehicles and too much greenery is there in campus. VGEC is located in the middle of Chandkheda city so you get all types of transportation facilities.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at Vishwakarma Governement Engineering College is very good. VGEC's students organize many technical and non-technical events. There are many clubs also like NSS, NCC, Bachpan, Rocketry Club, etc. There was also a cultural fest conducted last month. There are also many students clubs like GDSC, IEEE Student Chapter, etc. College provides information about hackathon, international events, national events like Semicon and Defense EXPO.

    The college campus has good infrastructure. The college canteen is hygienic and can handle a normal crowd. Viswakarma has the vehicle parking place near each block thus you will not have to worry about where to park your vehicle. Hostel facilities are good. Hostel of Viswakarma have Wi-Fi, mess, common room and other facilities. There are two boys’ hostel and one girls’ hostel.     The campus of college is widely spread across greenery area which gives positives vibes to study. It is a government college having minimum academic fees.
