Review for AMU, Aligarh

Overall Rating
To sum up the five years of my law college at Aligarh Muslim University, I'd like to say that I spent a wonderful time at the college. The library of the institute is really amazing. The law department does not have a proper canteen per se but the students usually go to the main campus for hanging out. The overall atmosphere is really good.
 

Academics Rating
To enroll as a student in the Bachelors program of Law at AMU, one has to appear for and qualify the entrance examination which is conducted by the university every year roughly in the month of May, for which the application forms are out a couple of months in advance. Like most of the traditional universities, the curriculum is strictly judicial services examination oriented and the exams are conducted on the same pattern too.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the teachers are well qualified. However, there are some who are not really interested in taking the classes. The faculties of some of the subjects are really amazing and they make the subject really easily understandable. The teachers will always motivate and encourage you so that you never feel low.
 

Placement Rating
We do have a newly made placement cell at the institute but it is not very active. The students have to mostly secure a placement on their own.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are really very great. I can guarantee that they're one of the best in India at such an affordable price. The food is of good quality. The hostel life is very happening too.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the department is quite good and it is being constantly improved. The college has its own library, which we call the seminar area. There is a moot court hall which is very big and spacious. All the events happening in the college are organised there. The staff of the college is also very supportive.
 

Campus Rating
One can find a huge variety of students coming from different backgrounds at the university. It is truly a representation of the diversity of India. Strict adherence to uniform is mandatory at all times. Many fests of the different departments are conducted regularly. There is a Literary Club, Cultural Club, Drama Club, Singing Club, etc.

    Overall Rating
    Aligarh Muslim University is a century-old Educational Marvel. The objective for its establishment was quality education for that section of students who cannot afford it. The Faculty of Law, AMU is very well serving its purpose. It provides the best quality legal education to the not-very-privileged section of students.
