My overall experience with this college has been really fantastic and I am happy with my college selection. I chose this college because of its infrastructure, lab facilities, and placement statistics which I saw during visiting. I recommend you all to once visit this college.

The motive for enrolling in engineering and management program is to achieve excellence in education. SKIT provides many courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and Research/Doctoral Programs. Many specialisations of B.Tech are provided like Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and CS-AI/Data Science. M.Tech also has specialisations like CS, Renewable Energy, Digital Communication, Power System, and Transportation Engineering. MBA in Finance Management, Marketing, and Human Resources Management is provided.

After joining this college I felt that the faculties are very supportive. They support students with their queries and provide career guidance as well. All the faculties are highly qualified. There are about 250+ faculties in which 60+ are PhD holders. I am from the ECE Department. The lab facilities of college are extremely good so the teachers utilize these facilities fully to teach us with practical exposure.

Yes, there is a placement cell which is really helpful for students because under this the Campus Recruitment Training Program is organised for the 3rd year students. They also provide classes of aptitude exams, group discussion, resume writing, and personal interview by industrial experts. Average package is about 5 LPA and the maximum package is 47 LPA. Some top recruiters are Infosys, TCS, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Cogzinant, Syntel, Capgemini, Aditya Birla Group, BOSCH, and many others.

Yes, hostel facilities are available for both girls and boys separately with greenery and peaceful atmosphere. Single occupancy rooms for boys and double or triple occupancy room are available for girls. Basic furniture facilities like bed, table, chair, and cupboard are provided with attached let-bath. There is a big playground available where basketball and volleyball courts are present. Other facilities like Gymnasium, RO Water Supply, 4 Times Food, Wi-Fi Accessibility, Laundry Services, Stationery Store, and ATM are also provided. Boys’ hostel fee with single occupancy is Rs. 96,000 and for girls with double and triple occupancy it is Rs. 96,000.

Infrastructure of SKIT is really good. On the name of infrastructure auditorium, cafeteria, canteen, gym, etc. are available. College consists of spacious and properly ventilated blocks named as Vikram Sarabhai Block (for IT/CS/ECE and Placement Cell), Dhanvantari Block (for Pharmacy Department and Central Library), Vishvakarma Block (for Management and Mechanical Engineering students), and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Block (for Civil and EE Engineering). Central Library of college consists of 40,000 books with 50+ magazines/journals. The college also has 2 auditoriums among which one is the Gyan Mandir Auditorium which has a seating capacity of 850 students and the other is the JC Bose Auditorium which has the capacity of 300 students.

My campus life is extremely fantastic. Currently I am in the 3rd year and till now I have learnt many new things and concepts. Extracurricular activities are one of the most fantastic aspects of SKIT where many fests and events are organised on a regular basis. Fresher party, annual function, talent hunt for freshers, heckathon, sports week, alumni meet, etc. are some events that the college conducts. Some clubs named Automation, Green Energy Club, Chess Club, Music Band, IOT, Skill Development, and Soft Skill are present at the college where all the students can participate.
