Detailed Review of NIT Imphal

Overall Rating
I am a first year student in NIT Manipur and my branch is ME. As per the knowledge, in 2022 my senior got the highest package of 47 LPA followed by 45, 43, and 32 LPA. Its average package is 9.7 LPA which attracted me to choose this course. There are great growth opportunities so others should also join it.
 

Academics Rating
I am doing Mechanical Engineering course from NIT Manipur. I have enrolled in this course after clearing JEE mains and getting 91 percentile in JEE examination. My motive of enrolling in the course is because I am interested in Mechanical Engineering and I have to grow my career in it. This is a 4 year course.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are very well educated and most of them are graduated from top IITs and NITs. They are very helpful in nature and they also support students very much in every aspect, in fact we are very lucky to have faculties like them. In this aspect the college is very nice and this can be the motive of many students to join this college.
 

Placement Rating
It has nice placement when compared to other new NITs. The average package is 9.7 LPA with the highest of 47 LPA which is impressive.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel rooms are manageable but mess food is not good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of the college is not too good when compared to other NITs. Our college building is not like building of other north colleges as it is in hilly region so there in no cemented roof in college that's why there is not any first floor only ground floor here. Overall we can say that the infrastructure is manageable.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is very good in our college as it is situated in the lap of mountain so we are well connected to nature and we often climb the mountain. There are many fests that take place in our college like fresher’s party, ougri, and many more. There are many clubs in our college like coding club, sports club, dance club, etc.

    I chose this college because it's an NIT, as a NITian. We have our benefits in terms of placements, etc. NIT Manipur is at 95th position in NIRF ranking. The placements are also quiet decent which is why I chose this college. If you want to join in north west part of India this is the good college.... Read Full Review

    My college is overall a good place for engineering students, apart from a few things which pissed me off such as inadequate infrastructure, unresponsive management, etc. The location of my college is amazing alongside the scenes and views.     I am the first PwD (Person with Disabilities) student at NIT Manipur. The placements at NIT Manipur are good and the faculty is also very supportive. Being a PwD student I find the infrastructure not so good and I hope that in future it will be solved. I chose NIT because of the placements it offers. The jump in the NIRF ranking from 108 to 95 has been incredible. I am very happy to come here.... Read Full Review
