Review of Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar

Overall Rating
The campus is good but not very large. The process of admission is simple. One has to give JEE exam and register for OJEE counseling. The cutoff for CS branch is 90% and above. The fee is also affordable and less in comparison to other colleges in Bhubaneswar. The campus is lush green and provides hostel facility also. The discipline of the college is well maintained.
 

Academics Rating
There are different courses offered in the college both in IT and Core branches. The eligibility of different courses is different. One can change the branch upgrade to higher branch based on their CGPA. My motive for enrolling in this course is that the course is at boom nowadays in the industry. The CS course teaches us fundamentals of OS, CN, Software, DBMS, etc.
 

Faculty Rating
There are various good faculties in the college. The Director, the Dean, and the HOD of different branches are very high qualified and hold PhD degrees from eminent colleges. The teachers are divided among the categories like Assistant Professor, Additional Professor, and Associate Professor based on their experiences. Their style of teaching is very good and industry oriented. They take practical classes as well as academic classes.
 

Placement Rating
The Industry Interface Cell of the college is well maintained. There are in total 5-6 faculty in-charges of the placement cell. They help the students in getting placements, internships, and/or startup incubator as per their needs.
 

Hostel Rating
There are 2 boys’ hostels and 1 girls’ hostel along with one guest house in the college. The college is also constructing new hostels in the premises. There are hostels with balcony and they are well ventilated.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The academic blocks are newly made. The buildings have lifts and are equipped with AC rooms and bathrooms. The classrooms have projectors and labs are well maintained. The ECE labs are well maintained and full of necessary equipment. The manufacturing lab is also there that has all equipment and help students in getting their knowledge.
 

Campus Rating
The campus is lush green and small. It consists of 5 grounds for different sports and gym for students. There are 2 food canteens as well as a guest canteen where food is served. Two snack stores are there where all amenities are served. There are various engagement activities conducted like open mic, unplugged, dance fest, etc. throughout the year. The crowd is good and there is no barrier for language.

    Students are taking admission in silicon in MCA course in the basis of OJEE rank. The rank must be under 600 and I got selected on the basis of that. The average package in this college is about 5-6 lakh so many students want to take admission on that. And this college is one of the best institutes in Odisha.... Read Full Review

    I took admission on the basis of Odisha JEE rank here and the cutoff rank is below 600 and around 60-70 seats are there. The students are studying here are also clear CAT exam most of the times. So, this is the best college among all the colleges in Odisha. So that I took admissions in this college.... Read Full Review

    The college is placed near the cyber hub of Bhubaneswar with a very good transport facility. The college atmosphere is very good and best for self-study and the academic is one of the best in the city.
