SIT, Bhubaneswar Review

Overall Rating
The college is well connected through all means of transportation. The main reason to choose this college is that this college provides good placements in comparison to other colleges in Bhubaneswar despite very averages fees. The campus life is amazing with number of fests and events conducted. The campus is situated in the heart of city with TCS and Infosys’ offices beside the college. The academic discipline of the college is well maintained.
 

Academics Rating
The academic curriculum of the college is industry oriented and teaches subject that help us know important topics needed for the industry. The faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The eligibility of the course is that the percentile in JEE should be above 90. The course teaches us topics that are very important for placements.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Some members are even PhD in their respective domains. The students’ to faculty ratio is 20:1. The teachers are very helpful and help students in other research works and placements works apart from academics. They follow practical workshops to clear the depth of the subject and also take industry visits make us aware about the implementation of topics.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, our college has a dedicated Placements Cell known as “ii cell”. The ii cell helps the students in getting good placements as well as internships. The members of the ii cell try to bring good as well as new companies every year. The highest package offered is 25 LPA and the average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 80% students are placed every year. Students also get internship in the 7th semester based on their domains with good stipends.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, our college has good hostels. Hostels are very well maintained with 24/7 water and electricity supply. The rooms are very well ventilated. 3 students live in one room. Bathrooms are cleaned daily and are very hygienic. Rooms consist of 3 beds with 3 tables and 3 chairs. There is also an annual fest conducted only for the hostel residents where the students perform and showcase their talents. The hostel fee is Rs. 33,000 per year. The mess serves food that is good and very well made.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is small but very well made. There are two academic blocks for IT and Core branches. The classrooms are well maintained with projectors and labs consist of ample amount of computers and equipment. The library consists of ample amount of books with air conditioned sitting arrangements for students. There is also a Wi-Fi area for students where students can avail free Wi-Fi. The campus consists of cafeteria and snack shops. The campus is lush green with 3-4 grounds.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is amazing and full of joy. There are number of fests conducted throughout the year. The crowd of the college is very good with students from different backgrounds and cultures. There are various clubs like music club, coding club, drama club, etc. Every club organises their annual fest every year where students are invited from different colleges and schools. The annual fest of the college Zygon is conducted in the month of April. Various coding and technical events are conducted throughout the year.

    Students are taking admission in silicon in MCA course in the basis of OJEE rank. The rank must be under 600 and I got selected on the basis of that. The average package in this college is about 5-6 lakh so many students want to take admission on that. And this college is one of the best institutes in Odisha.... Read Full Review

    Overall Rating
    I took admission on the basis of Odisha JEE rank here and the cutoff rank is below 600 and around 60-70 seats are there. The students are studying here are also clear CAT exam most of the times. So, this is the best college among all the colleges in Odisha. So that I took admissions in this college.... Read Full Review

    The college is placed near the cyber hub of Bhubaneswar with a very good transport facility. The college atmosphere is very good and best for self-study and the academic is one of the best in the city.
