Review for NIT Imphal

Overall Rating
College is set in one of most beautiful locations in Imphal. College is new so the infrastructure is not that great. But there are several things that are really good here like placements, sports, start up culture, and innovation. It's quite affordable as well. Hostel and mess are not up to the mark. There are a lot of things that require improvement.
 

Academics Rating
To get into the college you need to go through JEE Main exam. To get a seat in the college you need to score minimum 90 percentile for general candidates. Students must join this college if they want to become good and job secured engineers. Courses offered are B.Tech in Computer Ccience, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are mostly from Manipur itself. They are highly qualified with PhD and Masters Degree from prestigious colleges. Most of them teach us in a practical way. They teach us innovative ways to solve different problems in their respective subjects. Some PhD students of our college also take classes.
 

Placement Rating
There is a Training and Placement cell in our college. It is quite helpful in providing us different aspects of placement drives. Highest placement at our college stands at 47 LPA offered by Amazon with an average of 10 LPA. Last year 40 companies visited for campus placements and 150 offers were made.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is quite basic with a bed, almirah, table, and a chair. Hostel facilities are not up to mark and needs improvement. Mess food is not quite tasty though hygienic. There is a playground inside the hostel for sports like volleyball, cricket, table tennis, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Academic block lacks some basic amenities. Classrooms are simple and lack modern facilities. Library is small but has good number of books to help you through the course. Buildings are old and made of asbestos instead of concrete roof. Labs are clean and equipped with modern apparatus, devices, and computers.
 

Campus Rating
Annual fest is called Ougri and happens every October. There is sports meet along with a tech fest that happens every April. Outside environment and sceneries are great with mountain ranges on all 4 sides of the college. Crowd engagement happens in hostels or in garden region. Dance programs and other cultural activities are held to boost our temperament.

Alumni achievements, high employment rates, and strong industry connections to all quality of education and support provided.     My college is overall a good place for engineering students, apart from a few things which pissed me off such as inadequate infrastructure, unresponsive management, etc. The location of my college is amazing alongside the scenes and views.     I am the first PwD (Person with Disabilities) student at NIT Manipur. The placements at NIT Manipur are good and the faculty is also very supportive. Being a PwD student I find the infrastructure not so good and I hope that in future it will be solved. I chose NIT because of the placements it offers. The jump in the NIRF ranking from 108 to 95 has been incredible. I am very happy to come here.... Read Full Review

    My experience at NIT Manipur is well going and I am enjoying this place since it is surrounded by nature beauty from all sides. Administration and academics is very strict here. Since my JEE rank is around 38,000 so I got ECE branch here by CSAB counseling. Here placements are going well on-campus and off-campus and currently this year (2022-2023) about 149/170 students were placed.
