IIT BHU is one of the oldest institutes in India and it is a well recognised college. Its not hectic in academics and also at the same time, it provides plenty of clubs and cells to explore interests and hobbies. Also, placement opportunity is great. Other than that IIT BHU campus is beautiful and also associated with BHU which makes it different in many regards. Its gives us an opportunity of living in city like Varanasi for 4 years.

I was in the Civil Engineering branch. First reason for opting is that it is considered as a core engineering branch and also, if I wanted to opt for IES for government jobs, I could go for that with Civil Engineering. Since a student can give IES with certain branches only and one of them is Civil Engineering. Other than that I found my interest in Civil Engineering. The faculty for civil engineering is also good in IIT BHU Campus. The faculty is quite supportive and has an in-depth knowledge to share with their students.

All the faculty members are having a great education background, if you are a curious student then there are many professors who will guide you and also give you support in every possible way to learn more around your interest and hobbies. Also, almost all the professors quite understand us in every way like if you are not inclined with your vertical course they support you and give good grades so that you can follow your passion and not get affected by the academic result.

IIT BHU has a very good rate on number of students placed every year. One of the best IIT in terms of placement. Also, in IIT BHU, campus placements occur for variety of profiles. Placement Cell creates a very great atmosphere for students to prepare for their placements, also academics keeps an alignment with Placement and Internship season. Also, all the branches get good opportunities posit for placements.

IIT BHU campus is a hundred year old campus, where many hostels are 50-60 years old but many are very newly constructed buildings. Initially you will find them little bit uncomfortable but at the later stage of your college life you will miss them the most because living in the old constructed buildings will give you the importance of great architecture with beauty of nature around them. Its a one time opportunity of life to live in such old buildings. Sometimes you have to face a lot of struggles with washrooms in some of the hostels but believe me it will help you to grow much more.

If you compare the campus life it is quite different. Since IIT BHU provides open campus. The IIT BHU campus is a beautiful campus located in a very big. We have a combination of a very beautiful architecture that was constructed hundred years back and also at the same time currently many new buildings for hostels and lecture theatres are getting constructed.

IIT BHU has a very good crowd. It allows students to explore a lot of different fields around and find their real passion. We are having a very good entrepreneurial culture within ourselves and also at the same time we do have a good student alumni interaction within the college and other than that the campus is famous for its Gymkhana that is sports club and also we have many other clubs to follow our hobbies.
