Overall Rating
I have completed my BCA from Som Lalit Institute of Computer Applications. Here education, faculty, college environment, campus, placements and events are done very well. I asked many relatives, friends, and teachers about this college and all of them told that this is a really good college for education. If you are looking for the best college in education then Som Lalit is the college for you.
 

Academics Rating
As this college is good in academics, it requires a little higher percentage for admission. If you have more than 70 percentile in class 12th then you can easily get admission here. The specialty of this college is BCA. Students from outside also come to study BCA. The purpose of this college is not only to teach the students but also how to add it to life.
 

Faculty Rating
BCA course has 4 main and 2 or 3 minor subjects in each semester. The teaching methods and explanations of the all the faculty members are very good. Some teachers are a bit strict but they teach in the best possible way. All the teachers are very responsible.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, many companies came in last year for placements in this college. One of which is TCS. This company selects you based on your skill and CGPA.
 

Hostel Rating
No, Som Lalit College has no hostel facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Som Lalit College is a large 10 storied building. In which there are floors number 5, 6, and 7 for BCA. The campus is not good here i.e. no facilities for garden and sports. There is a canteen on the ground floor where you can have breakfast. As computers are required in BCA there are 3 different labs with 70 computers on 2 floors where you can practice anytime during college hours.
 

Campus Rating
The campus is very small. There is no facility for sports but there are many events happening here from time to time like 15th August, 26th January, and also many festivals. Especially, a big event has taken place in January in which one can enjoy a lot. Also there are university events where you win prizes and certificates. Overall it is a very good college.

Som Lalit is a private college but it is affiliated with Gujarat University so all the examinations are held by Gujarat University and you will get certified by the Gujarat University only. The college offers undergraduate and two spreadsheet programs in Computer Science and Information Technology.
