CMR Institute of Technology is one of the top leading engineering colleges in Bangalore with a NAAC A+ graded accreditation. It is also accredited under NBA and AICTE. This college is located in the central Bangalore in the IT Park Road.

The college has a very smooth administrative office where the admission process goes very smooth. Students can write COMEDK and KCET and get admitted in this college. The counseling is a very smooth process and students can come and visit the college earlier and get reviews about the college from the seniors.

I am a 2020 graduate and did my graduation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and secured a B.E degree with 7.62 GPA. I had a good rank in COMEDK which helped me to get this college and I was fortunate enough to be selected as I was the second last candidate in our college during the time of counseling. I always had my aim set for core engineering and when I got the chance I didn't think of any second opinion and immediately got admitted.

Yes, the course subjects were very informative and it covers all the important knowledge and concepts which should be covered to get a job in any core company. Many people who applied for core jobs from our college got selected and even the companies who came for placements they were equally happy and selected most of the candidates who net their eligible criteria.

We have more than 30 faculties in our course and each of them has good equivalent degrees to teach us the good concepts and basics and difficult topics of our course. We have total 7 branches in our college and each branch consist of more than 30 teachers. When I joined the college there were teachers who were highly experienced and had doctorate degrees but some of them retired when I was in my final year and then again new recruiting process happened and again now many experienced professors joined our institute in various branches.

They all have average some more than 10 or 15 years of teaching experience. Few fresher teachers have joined as Associate teachers and they are young and teach very well. The teachers are all contented and they know what they have to teach to make us understand and to make us score better.

We have a separate placement and training cell in our college. Placement training has become a part of our curriculum from first years now. They train us well from the scratch and then we get highly skilled by the end of 3rd year. Various companies like Amazon, DailyHunt, L&T Infotech, VMWare, IBM, TCS, Capgemini, Hitachi, Deloitte and a lot more companies come for placements.

Highest package in my year was provided by Udaan and they gave Rs. 30 LPA as the package. Average package by the MNCs and they provide around Rs. 3 to 5 LPA. Around 90% of the students get placed where CSE and ISE are the two branches where the students get 100% placements if they are the matching the eligibility criteria.

I being a non resident stayed in the hostel for 4 years and can proudly say that I had the best hostel days. There are 2 hostels for boys and girls both. Old and NRI hostel each had 5 floors and they provide single sharing, double sharing, 4 sharing as well. The fees is more in NRI hostel as it is more equipped with modern amenities and the hostel is well maintained. I stayed in both old and new hostel and I found both to be very well maintained and hygiene was over the top for both. Girls and boys hostels are separated and no boys are allowed inside any of the girls hostel and vice versa.

Each floor had more than 25 rooms in the old hostel. NRI and old hostel had different fee structure. Old hostel costs around Rs. 1 lakh for 2 sharing. We used to get various types of food in the hostel which varied from Chinese to north Indian to south Indian. Every day we used to have dal rice and sambhar for sure and with that different vegetable or chicken or egg curry with desserts like gulab jamun, kheer etc. Morning breakfasts were always healthy like idli, dosa, aloo paratha etc. Hostel security was never a tension for me as the warden was really good and we used to have 2 hostel secretaries. Also, there were securities outside the hostel every night, no one was allowed to enter the hostel.

The college campus is the ideal campus anyone can ever want, we used to have everything and that too in a very compact way. Like we had basketball court, football ground, volleyball ground, 3 floored canteen, incubation center, a big 2 floored auditorium, beautiful cafeteria, Table tennis court, separate lounge to chill and also not to mention the library. We had separate buildings for library, different branches, workshops, basic science building etc.

Everything in the campus was very well maintained and perfectly equipped.

I had the best 4 years in my entire life when I was in my college. I was very active in all the extracurricular activities. I was the student coordinator in my branch when I was in my 2nd year and then I was elected as the technical secretary of the entire college for 1 year in students council and then again as the Senior Technical Secretary in my final year. There were various clubs in both Technical and Cultural sectors.

We used to have 2 fests in year, one was the inter college fest and one was the inter department fest. We also have sports fest, hackathons every year. Since I was in the student's council, I was fortunate enough to be in the organizing committee every year. We used to have a very balanced curriculum with celebrations and exams. I can very proudly say even though I was very busy with the activities inside the college, I got placed in L&T Infotech and a scholarship holder of Huawei worth Rs. 50000.
