College Review of Saranathan College of Engineering

Overall Rating
My college is one of the top educational institutions in our city. My college has various departments to choose from according to the students’ interests and mindsets. It consists of all main departments and the new advanced courses are also offered. It also provides some Government approved scholarships to particular students based on the eligibility criteria. Overall my college will be a good choice for students who are interested to pursue their career in engineering in Tiruchirapalli.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Tech (Information Technology) course. I am a student of the 2019 - 2023 batch. The syllabus is fully based on Anna University curriculum. The students can enroll through 2 modes of entry. One is the Management Quota and another one is the counseling i.e. the Government Quota. The students may be passed from any board of education like the State Board or CBSE. I pursued this course because I am so much interested in the IT field.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties in my respective department are so friendly and knowledgeable. All the faculties are well educated and well trained to teach us. They always spread positivity among all the students. Most of the faculties have completed their Doctorates while some are currently pursuing. Every time there is any problem for a student they stood with us and help us with a solution to get away from the problem. In our college the students are trained on both theory and practical aspects.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a placement cell and it really helps the students to get placed in various companies with good packages. The placement cell works in a well organised and efficient manner by training the students according to the need of the companies. The students are well trained before attending the interviews. Our college has a good placement record. The placement cell supports every individual student in the college to get placed in an organization. The average CTC in our college is 4 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
The college has both boys’ hostel and girls’ hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is very well and good. The college has good bus facility that covers mostly every corner of the city. My college also has a well structured lab facility. The library has a good collection of books along with computer facility. The college also has a cafeteria which offers fully vegetarian meals. The classrooms are well sophisticated and clean.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life brings good feel to us. Our college has a good environment and many resources for students to get more knowledge. Apart from academics our college has many activities like NSS, College day, Sports Day, etc. Our college allows students to participate in various competitions inside and outside college. The college recognises the students’ achievements and encourages them.
