Personally I wanted to do Computer Engineering in 12th standard so I appeared for JEE Advanced and got an All India rank above 9,000. IIT Guhawati is the 7th best college in India which is best in teaching technology to the students and makes them great engineers so I was preparing for getting admission in IIT from 11th standard. Once I got admission then in the first month the college conducted events for the fresher students like arranging meet ups so that we get to know each other. The college provides excellent classrooms and the hostel rooms feels like home as most of the students do not leave the campus even in the vacations. This college gives a stage to the students for placements and improving the skills.

I get admission in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science after scoring 8996 rank in JEE Advanced. For the start of the admission process we have to visit the website of JEE Advanced and enroll for admission in IIT or NIT and then through you rank you will be given preference for your choice. Personally I recommend joining the AI DS Branch to get employment in MNCs like Nvidia as my cousin also got placement in this company.

Our college faculties are very qualified as they are PhD holders in their subjects. They are researchers in this field so learning from these type faculty members is very good. They provide project activities’ guidance which is going to be very important for engineering students’ resume for landing jobs. To learn software simultaneously is very tough task but these faculties easily handle this work.

Placement cell is very active and responsible for each and every student to get placed without any problem at high package. Generally students are placed with an average package of 20 LPA because the institute conducts mock interviews and mock placement drives to make the students ready.

IIT Guhawati has provided single room for every student in hostel from 1st year with TV. There is a canteen and a juice centre with hygienic conditions so the students feel like home.

IIT Guhawati has a large infrastructure for academics and hostels and various labs for every department as well as cafeteria in the campus. Providing sports facilities like for cricket and football lawn as well as tennis and basketball rings. Indoor sports clubhouse is present for hostellers along with reading rooms with AC and Wi-Fi labs. Practical labs are one of best labs in India for every department of engineering with new technology standards and precise instruments.

Alcheringa named cultural event conducted at state level is one of best events in which DJ nights, stand – up comedy, singing, dancing, and various other competitions are conducted which enhances the management skills of the students. Social group forms at Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook are created and they are very helpful for finding jobs as well as connecting links between new students and ex – students of this institute.
