Detailed Review for Sarala Birla University, Ranchi

Overall Rating
Sarala Birla University is one of the top private universities in Ranchi. The overall experience at the institute is quite good. I had chosen SBU as it has great infrastructure and a very big campus along with good campus records. But the placement ratio is decreasing since 2022 as very few companies are visiting for placement and number of students has increased sharply since 2022.
 

Academics Rating
I have opted for BCA as I wanted to build a career in coding. In my course, the minimum eligibility requirement is you have to pass 12th with a minimum of 40% with English as one of the subject (35% for reserved category). BCA is a 3 year UG program in which we get knowledge of various programming languages to get a job in IT sector in the future.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are good as they have a minimum of Master Degree but they lack in teaching skills. They are newly appointed as they are a bit average in the teaching style. But one thing I like about them is that they are very cooperative in nature. They really help in doubt solving and sometimes arrange extra classes for the students.
 

Placement Rating
I am currently in 2nd year so I don't know well about placements but according to seniors, SBU has good placement records.
 

Hostel Rating
I haven't opted for hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The highlight feature of this college is its infrastructure. It has a big campus along with good buildings. It has a separate academic block and student block buildings. It has a small library, a canteen, a big playground, and a hostel. It has transportation facilities too. Along with these amenities, other facilities like separate parking, labs, workshops, etc. are also available.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life was quiet good. The university arranges some of the cultural fests regularly. There are many clubs which help in organizing the fests. Fresher’s party is organised for the newly admitted students. Also, events like sports day, coding competition, etc. held regularly in this college.

    I choose this collage because in Ranchi after BIT Mesra, I found Sarla Birla University to be the one to complete my B.Tech degree. There is no sort of indiscipline or misbehave tolerated. Overall its fine compare to other colleges or university in Ranchi. Exams are taken on time but I didn't like the duration between semesters as they take semester exam in 4 months or three months.   • Good college with decent learning atmosphere and on campus placements

    Overall, I would rate this college 8/10. The best thing about this college is its placement records and the teachers with great education. Adding to this, we have all the basic facilities such as library, canteen etc with a world class campus and discipline. I wanted to pursue BCA from outside Jharkhand but as my financial condition was not good, I took admission here.   • Sarala Birla University offers placements to 90% students
     

    Overall Rating
    The infrastructure and facilities are one of the main factors that made me choose this university. I had to face no interviews or written tests before admission. Although, there is an interview for document verification. Students have to submit their documents and get it verified for the further admission process.     My overall experience in this college is average. Because it is good in some aspects like strict discipline, rules, and regulations. Regarding college campus, and mess everything. In 3-3 months semester exams are conducted and no gap is given between the exams. So the students don't get time to revise it's a bad thing.
