Review of KLNCE

Overall Rating
I got this college through counseling. This college is 10 km outward to main Madurai city. I got to know about this college through my brother who graduated in 2020. This college is overall a good engineering college in Madurai surroundings. It has good placement percentage. The fee is also very much affordable than other colleges. I would very much recommend other students who reside in Madurai to opt for this college.
 

Academics Rating
My department is Electronics and Communication Engineering. The entry cut off through counseling was around 170 last year. The eligibility is that you must be a 12th passed out with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Math as compulsory subjects. My motive to enroll in this course is my interest towards signals and communication.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculty members in the ECE department are very well experienced and many have completed their doctorates. Many faculty members have presented many papers and have patents registered towards their name. Our HOD is very much active and takes lots of interests in developing students’ knowledge by frequently conducting guest lectures and expert talks and motivating us to do lots of online courses and obtain e-certificates.
 

Placement Rating
Our college has its own placement cell which is very active. It appoints a placement coordinator in every department and that faculty gives one lecture weekly to develop our aptitude skills. Last year the placement percentage was around 65% with 3.5 LPA as the average package and this year almost 60% got placed till now.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have men’s and women’s hostel which have separate buildings. The men’s hostel has total 3 blocks which can accommodate around 400+ students and women's hostel can accommodate around 300+ students. The hostel infrastructure is decent and well maintained and has lots of facilities like gym, computer labs, sports room, Wi-Fi availability, TV room, a recreation hall, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is spread in around 50 acres and has more than 10 blocks which include Mechanical Block, Industrial Workshop, ECE Block, EEE Block, CSE Block, Automobile Block, Automobile Workshop Laboratory, IT Block, etc. Our college has a huge indoor stadium which can accommodate around 2,000+ students in it. There is also a canteen, an ATM, and a Xerox shop. Our college has multiple stadiums including cricket ground, hand ball ground, basketball ground, football ground, etc.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is very good. There are multiple events which are held throughout the year. The annual day and sports meet are major events at our campus. There are also many other activities like hostel day for hostel students, cultural meets, etc. Our college also has many small clubs inside the campus like blood donation club, IIPC which is partially funded by students and it sponsors many projects from students. Overall the college has a good campus life.

    I was allotted KLN College of Engineering through TNEA counseling. Our college is one of the top 3 colleges in the surrounding Madurai district. I chose the ECE department since I had a personal interest in the electronics side. I also had an interest in VLSI and the embedded field. Before taking admission I asked to various students studying in the college, they all gave good comments about the college.     I got KLN College of Engineering through the counselling process. I had applied various colleges in the TNEA counselling, I had got this college through that. After that I also asked about the College to alumni and gave good things about the College. I got the seat in the 2nd round counselling.     Till now my overall experience of KLN College of Engineering is good. The college is in 11km distance from the main city Madurai. It's about 30 minutes travel distance.     It's been almost 2 years since I had joined KLN College of Engineering. My overall experience was good. I got admission through counselling. The eligibility for the counselling is 50 percentage aggregate marks in 12th. For counselling quota last year the cut off was around 170 to 173.
