Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology B.Tech Review By Vanam Sai Charan

I am studying in the 2nd year B. Tech in Gokaraju Rangaraju Institution of Engineering (GRIET) in the Electronics Communication Engineering (ECE) branch. My experience here at the college is good. Here in GRIET, the ECE branch is famous from the starting of the institution. I am interested in ECE course so I opted this course in this college because many suggested this college for this course. My only bad experience here is sports as there is no importance for sports and games in GRIET. You can make good friends in the college. College life is good; events are held once or twice a year here and the communication between students and teachers is way better than I think. If you are interested in studies and learning you can opt this college for sure, to make better placement but if you are interested in sports or other activities there is no scope here. Choose the college according to your interest.

As I am from the Electronics Communication Engineering (ECE) branch, I chose this course because we can have scope for both software and hardware jobs. If you want software job and core job you can get through placements. Government jobs are also available for ECE branch like CISCO, TRANSCO, etc. and you can also apply for DRDO jobs and many other jobs which are for the Electronic Engineers. To enroll for this program in Gokaraju you need to get good marks in TS EAMCET and then get the college through the counseling process. You can also go through the management process if you didn't get enough rank for this course. But at the moment CSE sub branches are increasing and importance for the ECE branch has decreased slightly.

Here in Gokaraju, the teaching staff is very good and their knowledge of the subject is very high as they all are PhD holders. The standards they set for courses and skill learning is very appreciable. They have experience of over 10 years of teaching. They can help for your project or any innovative ideas by sharing their experience. Staff members here are very friendly but you may get one or two who are serious and strict. Finally I can tell that you will be satisfied with the faculty.

Yes, we have a placement cell at our institute. By the second semester, they start training you for the placements which are conducted by professionals. They may include fees for placement training. But placements in GRIET are good and the average package is of about 5 LPA. If you do whatever placement training staff says you can definitely crack the placement.

No, there is no hostel in this institute but you can stay at PGs nearby the college.

Our college has well infrastructure. It is built on rocks and is about 4 km from the JNTU metro station. Our college has 4 big blocks which are for IT, ECE, CSE, and one is for Civil and EEE. The infrastructure of the rooms and library is very good and you can satisfy yourself by seeing the model of their infrastructure. We have one big canteen with a well infrastructure, prices here are somewhat reasonable. We have two halls which are small and normal respectively. We have 3 volleyball courts, one basketball court, and same ground for both cricket and football. We have two open cricket nets to practice. We have one open stage where the cultural activities are conducted. There are separate gyms for boys and girls, one indoor for TT, chess, and carom.

Campus life in our college is normal because you don't get enough events here. There is a clubs called Rhythms, which is for entertainment purposes and several other clubs for different purposes. Technical events are more regular here in GRIET which you can show your talent by participating. You can enjoy college life by making correct friends according to your frequency. Sports fest is conducted every year, but it is somewhat boring. There have been college teams for every sport; you can get through it if you are interested. Some flash mobs are conducted in every 2 months and you can get one big event every year, you may enjoy it. Finally campus life here is according to you only.
