Overall review of Galgotias College Greater Noida

Overall Rating
Overall the Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology is good and a reputed college in Greater Noida. The placements in this college are decent but the internship opportunities in this college are very less.
 

Academics Rating
The academic curriculum in our college is decent. You will get many clubs for different activities. Entry in this college requires a JEE mains rank. The cutoff for the CS branch is approx 1,00,000 while for other branches it ranges between 2,00,000 – 2,50,000. The motive for getting enrolled in this college is mainly getting good placements.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties in this college are okay. Their teaching style is more theory oriented and less practical oriented. The faculty members are knowledgeable and are mainly Ph. D holders or have done M. Tech in technical fields. You can ask your doubts with ease with any faculty member and they will be pleased to solve your doubts.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell in our college and it helps the students in getting jobs.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are decent. But the mess facilities of hostels are not good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are different blocks in our college (A block, B block, C block, D block, E block). The A block consists of an admin office, the E block consists of a registrar office and labs. The classrooms for computer science and information technology students are in the E block while for other departments it is in the B and the C blocks. Also there is a seminar hall in the D block.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is overall good in comparison with other colleges of Greater Noida. You will enjoy your college life in this college. Our college has a little bit more students, so the crowd is slightly high in our college. There are various clubs there in our college like sports and coding clubs. The fests and farewells are also organized yearly in our college.

    As you enter the campus its feels like that you have entered in hi-fi college as the college have big campus with grounds, library and cafeteria. I have chosen this college as I got Fee Wavier in CSE core branch. Also, my friends taken admission in this college whose total fees is about Rs. 1,15,603 yearly which is much affordable than other colleges in Greater Noida.     The college is Well Developed and has proper infrastructure. The Professors are well educated and are supportive. The college has a big library and has many opportunities for all the students like students can participate in clubs and events and into extra curriculum activities like sports and singing and dancing and hackathons and many more.     My overall experience is good. The college offer well balanced in campus life with good infrastructure, exposure, placements, and attendance criteria. The best thing I would like to point out is that you don't need to maintain 75 % even. If you have 60%, you are good to go. it’s not like other colleges, which don't even have a campus area and don't allow students to go out before lectures are over.     I have already spent 3 years in GCET Greater Noida, as I am a 4th year student in Mechanical department.
