Overall Rating
The first thing I would tell you about is the Birsa Institute of Technology that is in Jharkhand and comes on the top of the state government engineering colleges. The year of establishment of this college is 1949. The college is very old and the alumni network is very strong. The college is good for those students who belong to weaker family backgrounds.
 

Academics Rating
This college takes admission on the basis of the rank in the JEE Mains examination. After the declaration of the exam results you have to go through the JCECEB website and register on it. Then a CML rank will be declared and after the 4th round of counseling you will be allotted a seat. There is a reservation criterion as announced by the state government.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are good, especially for the core branches. The teachers are well qualified. All are Ph. D holders. They will guide you at every prospect and also tell you about the placement scenario. Overall the teaching staff and faculty members are good and you can trust them blindly. But the CS related branch faculties are not up to the mark.
 

Placement Rating
The placements are quite decent here especially for non CS branches. The metal related branches like Mechanical, Mining, and Metallurgy branches have quite impressive placements but for CS branches the placements are not that good.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are allotted here during the first year. In the 1st year 4-5 sharing rooms are allotted and after 2nd year single rooms are allotted. The hostel fee is around Rs. 7,000 yearly and the mess is also available with charges of Rs. 4,000 a month.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is good as compared to the fee. Though you can't compare it to the private colleges. The classes are marble proofing and the campus vibe is good here. You will enjoy campus life. However, ragging is there in the college.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is decent. But the main problem is the ragging that the seniors take at the beginning. The campus is awesome and greenery is also there. However, there is a lack of exposure as there are no malls or anything like here. Inside campus you will surely enjoy your college life.

    My experience at BIT Sindri in good. As per my JEE percentile, this is the best college because this is one of the oldest institute. This year, our institute celebrated 75-year platinum jubilee where our seniors have came and I really feel very proud of this college because the success of alumni is beyond my expectations.     This institute is one of the best institutes in Jharkhand. Which runs under state government, this college will give you good exposures. And return on investment for this college is pretty good. The campus is of 450 acres with lots of facilities like bank, library, canteen etc. Student who is financially weaker must opt for this college, provided they must have a resident of Jharkhand....
