Life at RIT Chennai

Overall Rating
Overall review of the Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology is more than good. As compared to other colleges they give more facilities and scholarships. For the students with a cutoff more than 150-170, they can blindly join this college. Recently the college has had NAAC inspection, which is another good sign, as it is rated at the top amongst the public ranking for engineering colleges.
 

Academics Rating
There are more than 6 + courses offered in this college. The popular ones are Computer science, artificial engineering, data science, and electronic and communication engineering. There are high tech labs also for some subject it's under the control of the Anna University. It's not an autonomous college and academics wise they provide good results. The college has a passing percentage rate up to 95% each year.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties however, are one main attraction of the college. Their teaching style is the same as that of every college and they teach with the help of projectors and boards. They also provide some orientation regarding the subject and the soft skills, etc. Most of the staff members have done Ph. Ds in their domains and they also give support and help you with your doubts.
 

Placement Rating
The placements that the college provides are excellent and many companies come here. These companies combine with the college for placements. They provide training, organise camps, and orientation classes particularly for placements only. In totality 60+ companies with decent packages come here. It is comparatively better than other colleges.
 

Hostel Rating
Recently, they built a boys hostel in the campus with all modern techniques. It is quite good and maintained by the college administration. The girls hostel is separate; it’s inside the main college campus and is more secure. The facilities are quite good because these are new built buildings and have attached bathrooms for each room.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is awesome but it’s small in the size, as compared to other colleges. The campus building is old. Most of the buses now have ACs. Infrastructure wise there is no issue.
 

Campus Rating
The crowd of the college is decent and there are around 1500+ members in the college. There are more than 16+ clubs and some of them have specific rooms to improve their work. Overall the campus life is above average. The placements and the academics are good. To clearly understand the atmosphere you have to go to the college in person to understand properly.

    Overall the college is good for techies, who love to be the part of wonderful community of tech and stuff. It's better to make friends with other departments for any help from regarding the studies and opportunities.
