Overall Rating
The view of this university is very good. It is located in a mini hill area and it has a huge range of biodiversity in its campus. I chose this university because it was the nearest university from my home and I was suggested by others to get admitted here. It is a central university and also has A rating by NAAC. All this let me to take admission in this university.
 

Academics Rating
I am studying M.Sc Mathematics here. It is a two year course with four semesters. For getting admitted in this course one should have a minimum of 60% marks in his graduation and should have Mathematics as the core or selective paper during his graduation. For enrolling in this course one has to clear the written examination as well as the personal interview.
 

Faculty Rating
Except 2-3, the other faculties don’t appear to me as university level teachers. Their way of teaching is just horrible. They are themselves confused in certain topics and ask the students to do it by themselves. There is two or more faculty whose way of teaching is just exceptional. They will explain everything in detail and will start the course from the basic level and then gradually go up to the higher level. They make every effort to ensure that whatever they teach is understood by the students.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a nice placement cell in this university. But the placement percentage of this university is very less. Recruiters of different companies come every year like, Byjus, Federal Bank, TCS, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, it has residential facilities for both boys and girls. Moreover, it has residential facilities for foreign students also. The hostels are very well maintained with high security. They are well equipped with games and entertainment for the students. The food quality is also good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is average. The infrastructure is still under construction. All the academic buildings are again renovating. Extra rooms are also made to intake more students. All the departments are equipped with ACs and fans. Separate washrooms for both boys and girls are available. Surroundings are clean and nature also surrounds the buildings. It has three auditoriums. A central cafeteria and a market inside the campus are under construction.
 

Campus Rating
There are numerous fests, events, and programs that take place in the campus throughout the year. There is an annual Social Week, Science Fest, Cultural Fest, Festival Celebration, etc. Elections are also held every year for selecting the student leader. There are several clubs like magazine club, literary club, etc. Campus is very clean and it is full of greenery. The view of the campus is mesmerizing.

    Assam University in short AUS is a central government university run by the Indian government. It has a very beautiful campus but according to me many central universities have better campus then this. So I’ll suggest you to only come if you don't have any better campus. The campus is green but not cleans, and especially if you are not from Barak Valley the food here will also irritate you and that is for sure.... Read Full Review
