Overall Rating
My overall experience of the SLIET was quite good because here you get a good exposure and you have many extracurricular activities like gym, swimming, singing, dancing, and gymnastics. There is also a stadium here for the students. You can also take admission here as the college fee is feasible.
 

Academics Rating
The academics of this college are also very good because you don’t have that much load of classes and assignment projects. Here the teachers are very supportive in these terms. I had the mechanical engineering branch and you can also join it because the college offers a specialisation in mechanical engineering i.e. the honours degree in welding which helps you in placements.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are very good and supportive. They never demotivate us and after some weeks there are sessions conducted by our faculties for the students for knowing their wellbeing. They are all well qualified and most of them are from IITs and NITs here or from other big colleges. Their style of teaching is not that good.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the placements here are very good. The average packages offered are between 4 LPA to 20 LPA and the students with branches like computer science have a better placement opportunity.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are residential facilities in this college and the fee is also very minimal. The hostel rooms are clean and nice.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus life at the SLIET is good and all types of facilities are available inside campus. There are a total of 10 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls available here. There is a SAC i.e. the Student Activity Centre where students and enjoy according to their own. The sports facilities like gym, football ground, volleyball ground, stadiums are available here along with the food shops.
 

Campus Rating
The SLIET is famous for its infrastructure and is one of the best colleges under Government of India. The classroom infrastructure is quite good; many classrooms have air conditioning and the campus is lush green. Your campus life will be amazing here due to a lot of space, green environment and facilities provided by the college. If you fall sick anytime they will provide first aid treatment and always have an ambulance available for emergencies.

    Overall, our college is quite good. Like other engineering colleges, it has some good things, and some parts of the college need to be improved. Campus is beautiful; all the amenities are fulfilled whereas placement needs to be improved. I choose this college because of the rank I obtained in the entrance examination. I would recommend this CFTI college to all students who are unable to make into IITs, NITs or IIITs.... Read Full Review

    Overall I would say this college is good. You may think the campus is in a remote location but many top colleges with huge areas are also in such locations. If you are getting it you can take it. But remember on-campus placement is not as high as IITs and good NITs have. You have to work a lot to get a high salary in tech jobs(not sure about non-tech jobs). College has all the facilities from digitalized classroom, library to food and roaming areas inside the college campus.     Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology is really a good college, the first thing I noticed after entering it was its large 150+ acres campus. Literally, like a national forest that has very large containing lakes, gardens etc. Then we come to the buildings which are too magnificent.
