Experience at IIT Dhanbad

Overall Rating
My overall experience till now at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is good. I choose this particular college because this is the only college in entire India for mining. The placement opportunities for the mining students especially at this college are too good.
 

Academics Rating
Taking mining course in not just about digging the earth and obtaining minerals likes gold, diamond, etc. It's is about making maps, that how can we obtain, from where we can obtain. For girls rank up to 25,000 in JEE advanced is eligible for this course. You must first qualify JEE mains and then JEE advanced to get admission in any IIT.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members in this college are highly qualified. They try to clear the doubts of the students as much as possible. The way of their teaching is very nice. The teachers generally use the English language but to make us understand better, they even use the Hindi language also sometimes.
 

Placement Rating
In IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, placement opportunities are very good. The highest placement of this college is above 2 CPA. Placement opportunities for the mining students are best in this college. Almost every student gets placement. Companies like Google, Amazon, and other MNCs come to select student for placements.
 

Hostel Rating
There are total 3 buildings for girls’ hostels and 6-7 building for boys’ hostels.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The best part of this college is the heritage building. Library of this college is Asia's second largest library. All the floors of the library have AC available. There is also an academic block present.
 

Campus Rating
There are so many clubs such as litm for dance, manthan for singing, cyberlabs for coding, and many others. For joining any club you have to pass the interview rounds. There are in total 4 fests in this college. Srijan is the best and biggest fest of this college. It is a cultural fest. Prakaram is the sports fest of this college. Concetto is the tech fest.

    First of all it should be remembered that it's ISM before IIT. Overall experience is better. As a South Indian I felt difficult to connect with Hindi language and also to the food as most of our diet is filled with potato. The experience about studies is good.     Generally all know Indian Institute Technology is the best colleges in India which we get after clearing JEE advanced exam. Indian Institute of Technology which is also called as Indian School of Mines is a better college for future and has good scope in the future.     Up till now my overall experience is great. You get a lot of opportunities to explore. You can join any of the clubs that you are interested in and could grow in that field. The most fascinating thing I found are the placements, coding culture, and the sports facilities provided to the students, which was the main factor for me to take admission in this institute....     The campus of my collage is very beautiful. It has a lot of facilities and the canteens are just amazing. The faculty and the study model type are also very interesting and fabulous.     There is a perception that IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is a new institute, but reality is the polar opposite. It's the third oldest universities amongst all IITs; hence, it does not have any issues that the new IITs face. The institute has clubs for *everything* that you would ever want! These are well established old clubs that win awards every year!
