BMS College of Engineering is Good college

Overall Rating
Civil branch is good in this college. This college is the oldest private college in India. The civil engineering branch has many well known professors, they are well qualified, many have Ph. D. degrees from IITs, students are taught well, many high quality labs are there, concrete labs, materials lab are there, and the students get good opportunities in this college.
 

Academics Rating
Civil engineering branch at BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore has an intake of 120 students. They are admitted through Karnataka CET, Comed K UGET, and the management seats. The students must have passed class 12th from any board with good marks, and should have scored a high percentile in the above mentioned both competitive exams. KCET is for the students of Karnataka and Comed K UGET is for the students outside of Karnataka.
 

Faculty Rating
Civil engineering professors are well qualified, many professors have master’s degrees and Ph. D from IITs and other premiere institutions, they publish many research papers timely and many are recognised for their projects on various civil engineering projects, they guide students for various activities and projects and help them in participating in national level competitions.
 

Placement Rating
The college has well established placement cell which helps students to enter the corporate industries. The civil engineering students are placed in many companies with good salary. The placement percentage is around 90%.
 

Hostel Rating
College has good residential hostel facility, they provide good food and many facilities are there. The only drawback is that the hostel fee is quite high.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College is situated at the heart of the city, many good facilities for food, shopping are there around the college, college has different blocks for different branches, many well established labs, research centers are there for every branch, many canteens are there inside and nearby the college. Overall the infrastructure is good.
 

Campus Rating
Campus is very good; weekly there will be activities, group activities inside the campus. The college also organises 2 fests once in an academic year, college fest is famous all over Bangalore, many clubs are there, students can participate in different clubs, crowd is also very amazing, we have students from all over India. Overall the crowd is very good.

    BMS College of Engineering is a well known and a prestigious institution of India. It is one of the oldest Engineering Colleges in India as it was established in 1946 in Basavanagudi.     Overall Rating
    BMSCE is located in center of Bangalore city making it very commutable, also having a good amount of nature within it. My seniors have told they even offer 10 LPA packages for good mechanical engineers. The best part being the campus life and the people around you as well. All the teachers use the local language as well as English. Only drawback being all canteens provides only veg food.... Read Full Review

    BMSCE is one the top 3 private engineering colleges in Karnataka. The college has rich history and being India's first private engineering college established in 1946 has a great alumni. The college has very good placements and along with the academics they also promote cultural and technical activities along with sports facilities.     BMSCE is the oldest private engineering college in India established in 1946. The campus area is okay being 9 acres in total. The college canteen provides decent food with affordable prices. The college has a decent number of branches under Bachelors in Engineering to pursue, such as- information science engineering, computer science engineering, AI&ML, AI&DS, industrial and management, civil, EIE, ETE, ECE, chemical, mechanical, etc. One can pursue engineering here after qualifying in one of th...
