Overall Rating
You can join the Bangabasi College, Kolkata after 12th standard and you can join any course in science like physics, chemistry, botany, and zoology. You must be from a science background. You can find all official notices like admission dates and fees details on the official website. I don't think there are reservation benefits but you can check the official website. Mainly all the processes are done through an online medium.
 

Academics Rating
You must have passed class 12 with at least 70-80% marks to secure a seat at the college.
 

Faculty Rating
I was a botany student and I chose this course due to my agricultural background. The faculty is very good here and the labs are great. In all the batches there are around 26-30 students. A great thing about the teachers here is that they have Ph. D degrees. Also, there are great efforts made by the teachers. The exams happen every 6 months and if you prepare 2 months before the exams you can get a great A score.
 

Placement Rating
The students here are eligible for campus placements in the 5th and 6th semesters. Companies like MPokket, Tata, and many biochemical companies offer placements to the students. The highest package offered by the companies is Rs 18,000 per month and almost 45-60% students get placed every year.
 

Hostel Rating
There are hostel facilities available here; the rooms (2 bed-rooms or 4 bed-rooms) are available with bed, fan, and lights. Along with that the meals offered here are quite average. For registration you can go to the Calcutta University Main Campus, 1st floor office. The Surya Sen Street is the best place for the hostels.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college structure generally includes well- equipped classrooms, laboratories, libraries, computer installations, and recreational areas. These installations are designed to support academic hobbies and give a conducive literacy terrain for the scholars. The best things of the college are laboratories. Also, our college has 2 campuses.
 

Campus Rating
One of the highlights of campus life is the presence of numerous clubs and organizations catering to various interests, such as sports, arts, culture, academics, and social causes. These clubs provide platforms for the students to explore their passions, develop leadership skills, and form lasting friendships. Participating in clubs is an excellent way to meet like-minded individuals, engage in collaborative projects, and enhance personal growth.

    Bangabasi College is situated in Sealdah, Kolkata and is one of the oldest and government aided college of Fine Arts in West Bengal.     The college has excellent faculty members who have sufficient knowledge to teach. Library is also great as it helps a lot to get in-depth knowledge about various subjects.     The Science departments specifically Chemistry and Physics courses are very good in the college. The library is very good with lots of books. Hostel services are not available here. The faculties are very supportive and highly educated. The environment outside the college isn't that much good. It is a decent college for pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree.... Read Full Review

    The Bangabasi College, Kolkata is an average college just like the other colleges present under University of Calcutta. I can say that our college is good compared to other colleges under University of Calcutta. The teaching staff is average.
