You have to appear for CUET to get into the DAVV Indore, but being a student from the 2020 batch, I had the advantage of not sitting for the entrance exam, that is, CET (Common Entrance Exam) and got into Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore through my class 10th and 12th merit ranks. I thought of getting into IIPS to pursue B. Com. Honors but unfortunately I couldn't make it in the first counseling round. Hence, I applied for the 2nd counseling round and I got a seat in DAVV School of Commerce for B. Com. in Accounting and Tax Management, which turned out to be not so good for me. I do not recommend this college for you at all.

B. Com. Accounting and Tax Management have a simple eligibility criterion of passing 12th grade with any stream but with a passing percentage of more than 50%. If your singular motive is to get an undergraduate degree that is to be able to prepare you easily for the entrance examinations of premium business school or any other post graduate program while doing your under graduation, then this course is perfect for you.

The faculty of School of Commerce fails to engage their students gaining knowledge; rather they are more focused on assignments, presentations, projects, and completing their syllabus. The students have to study on their own in the last few days before the exams. Only a few faculty members believe in explaining concepts to the students while most of them provide the students with notes in the class.

The School of Commerce has a placement cell only for the MBA foreign trade students but not for the students of undergraduate programs.

Yes, DAVV offers hostel facilities but on the basis of merit. It provides all basic amenities required with basic infrastructure and other activities. Also the hostel life at DAVV is good.

DAVV as a whole university (Takshashila Parisar) has a beautiful campus spread over 200 acres with flowers, trees, gardens, and benches almost everywhere you look. Talking about the School of Commerce, it also has a beautiful outer environment with lush greenery. School of Commerce has an old building with 3 floors other than the ground floor, each having 10 - 12 rooms (HOD's room, libraries, staff room, computer room, etc. are included).

The management takes less interest in encouraging fests or fun events. The crowd of students includes people from all over the state of Madhya Pradesh and some parts of Rajasthan but the majority is from Indore. No such events other than fresher or farewell parties are conducted. The only good thing I consider is that everybody loves the celebrations of all small and big Indian festivals. Every festival is celebrated with humongous zeal and enthusiasm. Many competitions like for painting, dancing, music, etc. are conducted but there is lack of initiative even from the students’ side.
