Review of KLNCE Sivaganga

Overall Rating
I was allotted KLN College of Engineering through TNEA counseling. Our college is one of the top 3 colleges in the surrounding Madurai district. I chose the ECE department since I had a personal interest in the electronics side. I also had an interest in VLSI and the embedded field. The other students who aim for a good engineering college with good academics and placements, for them this college is a good choice.
 

Academics Rating
I am enrolled in the Electronics and Communication department. The entry requirement for seat allotment through TNEA counseling is a good cutoff of around 165. In my batch, the cut-off for counseling ended at 170. This year the cut-off ended at around 160. Our department is one of the well-reputed departments in KLNCE. My main motive to enroll in this course is my interest in VLSI.
 

Faculty Rating
Our department faculty members are very experienced. Our HOD has experience of around 30 years in the teaching field and has more than 5 patents to her name. The average faculty-to-student ratio is 1:15. All other faculty are also very experienced. The average faculty experience age is also the highest in our department among all other departments in our college, which is around 15 to 18 years.
 

Placement Rating
Our college has a placement cell. Every year around 20 to 25 companies come throughout the year. Last year around 400 offers came and around 300 students got placed. In our ECE department, the placement percentage was around 70 – 80% of students who got placed in IT companies, and the rest 20 – 30% of students got placed in the core companies. The average package in the IT field was around 4 LPA and in the core companies, it was around 7 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel facility is also very good. The boys' hostel can accommodate around 300 students and the girls' hostel can accommodate around 200 students. The hostel has all the basic facilities with good rooms with attached bathrooms, washing machines, a sports room, a recreation hall, a gym facility, and a very good and hygienic mess.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our college is spread across around 40 acres of land. Every department has its block. Every department has its Library Facility, Wi-Fi Facility, Recreation Halls, and Seminar Halls. In our college, there is also a health center for students. There is a gym for students. An ATM is also present inside the campus for the students. The sports facility is also very good in our college.
 

Campus Rating
Our institution has an overall very good campus life. In our college every year cultural programs are conducted for the students. The sports day is conducted grandly and is the main event of our college. Lots of tech fests are conducted by every department in our college. Many symposiums are also conducted.

    I got this college through counseling. This college is 10 km outward to main Madurai city. I got to know about this college through my brother who graduated in 2020. This college is overall a good engineering college in Madurai surroundings. It has good placement percentage. The fee is also very much affordable than other colleges. Before taking admission I asked to various students studying in the college, they all gave good comments about the college.     I got KLN College of Engineering through the counselling process. I had applied various colleges in the TNEA counselling, I had got this college through that. After that I also asked about the College to alumni and gave good things about the College. I got the seat in the 2nd round counselling.     Till now my overall experience of KLN College of Engineering is good. The college is in 11km distance from the main city Madurai. It's about 30 minutes travel distance. I choose this Institute due to its good academic results and high placement percentage. My department is EEE and I took this department due to my interest in electrical field.... Read Full Review

    It's been almost 2 years since I had joined KLN College of Engineering. My overall experience was good. I got admission through counselling. The eligibility for the counselling is 50 percentage aggregate marks in 12th. For counselling quota last year the cut off was around 170 to 173.
