Overall Rating
Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences is very good and only medical college in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This college was established recently, before these students had to go to other states to get admission in MBBS. I chose this Institute, since it was only medical college in Andaman. The others should also choose this college, since its fees is very much affordable compared to other medical colleges.
 

Academics Rating
Currently there are only two courses one is MBBS and other is BDS. The competition for admission is huge. More than 1000 applications come for 114 seats present in MBBS. The eligibility is passing NEET with the cutoff marks. My main motive for the enrolling in this program is due to my interest in becoming a doctor from childhood.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty are post graduates and many completed their PhD in their respective department. Every faculty who teach us is working as a doctor in GB Pant Hospital, which is the main government hospital of whole Andaman. Most of the times the faculty are busy, but still they try to spend maximum time with students and try teach us.
 

Placement Rating
Currently there aren't any placements; we have to find our own jobs after completing the graduation. But students get a chance to do internship in the GB Pant Hospital with up to salary of 30000 a month for a year. Daily morning we have a practical session at the hospital, where we interact with the patients and learn and afternoon we have theory classes.
 

Hostel Rating
Our hostel is one of the best hostels. You won't get a better hostel than our hostel. Our hostel is a sea facing hostel and evening we can see beautiful sunset, the whole scenario will be great. It has all the facilities for the students like wi-fi, library. The mess food is also very good
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our college is attached to the government hospital. Actually our college has two parts one is attached with the hospital where we have our practical sessions and other is 3km away which is newly built before 3 years where we go in bus after lunch to attend our theory classes. The infrastructure is great since it’s newly built. It has all the facilities large classrooms with projectors, enough lab equipments, wi-fi, and library.
 

Campus Rating
Overall the 5 years campus life and 1 year internship a total of 6 years is a great experience for us. We all came by very much hardworking and through lot's of competition and it's worth it. We have lots of fests in our college, since in Andaman all types and language people live here, so we celebrate all festivals. We have Onam Celebration, Pongal Celebration, Saraswati Puja Celebration, Christmas Celebration and many fests like cultural are also held here.
