Reviewing NITKKR

Overall Rating
For me the campus life of NIT Kurukshetra is far better than many of the north Indian colleges like NIT Jalandhar, Hamirpur, Delhi, Allahabad etc. But it is not true for NIT Jaipur. Hostels and messes are average. Infra and facilities are good and placements are also good here. Marking system and exam schedules are also better. Attendance criteria is better.
 

Academics Rating
There are 5 courses in NIT Kurukshetra - B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, PhD. Among which B.Tech is famous here. And for B.Tech program it is a decent college as compare to many other NITs of north India and north east India. For B.Tech the admissions are based on JEE mains ranks in which 50% seats are reserved by home state students.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty of NIT Kurukshetra is very well educated and many of them are very kind and supportive too. Some of them are rude to students but they are also fairly enough. Some professors have written books which is taught in our own institute. Most of the classes are taken by professors, assistant. Professors and guest faculties.
 

Placement Rating
We have a Training and Placements cell in our institute which ensures maximum placements and internships of students. TNP cell is very helpful for the students for getting on campus placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels of NIT Kurukshetra is in very good condition. Infrastructure of hostels are good. Mess foods are more than average except mega hostel. There is no gym in any hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are departments for official works and individual labs. Department blocks are good but slightly small. There is LHC for lectures and examinations. ED hall for examination and drawing classes. Administrative building for account and student section. Sports Complex have a very big ground and a gym also. NIT market in which bank, post office, and other shops are available.
 

Campus Rating
Campus is very good here. Clubs and societies are helping us to involve in extracurricular activities and to develop personality and enhance skills. Sports are at a good level in our college. Campus is full of trees and plants with different kind of colorful flowers. Campus is full of greenery. Confluence and Techspardha are major cultural and technical fest respectively. Citius is sports fest. Utkarsh is also cultural fest.

    My thoughts regarding this college are very clear. This is the best college in Haryana. The greenery is awesome. This college provides us lot of opportunities and they did many fests. I really enjoyed so much in the fests. The seniors and the faculty members are really very good. Their behavior is very nice. The teaching style of some teachers is really good. The hard work of our teachers is really appreciable. Our teacher provides us notes. This is really appreciable work.... Read Full Review

  • Life in NIT Kurukshetra

    In starting I don't like the college much because there is no event, no fresher’s party, etc. But after 20 days almost every day something is happening. Sometimes I miss some events happening in college. I choose this college because this is in my state, and I got computer science in reputed NIT. Others should take look in this college because there is no ragging and mess food is decent and seniors are very supporting. According to me this college is 9/10 not 10/10 as we can't allow to go outs... Read Full Review

    National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra is a really great college. The college has a great campus with over 290 acres of area. The college is full of greenery and the infrastructure if quite good. The classrooms and labs are fully air conditioned. The college has its own lake inside the campus.
