Untold story of PRM MCH

Overall Rating
Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical college and Hospital, our medical College is the only medical College in Mayurbhanj District which was established in 2017. I am lucky enough to get a medical seat in the college. Our course consists of 4 and half years study and One year of internship. Top notch facilities along with top faculty were present in the college. Currently I am a 2nd year student in the college. Proper exposure to clinical cases laboratory were offered by the college.
 

Academics Rating
We have a total of 19 subjects in the course of MBBS. Every subject is concerned with a lab, 2 demo rooms, a department Library, and Chambers for Professors. To enter into the medical College you need to qualify NEET and enter into by proper counselling. I got the motivation to get admission in MBBS from my brother who is currently doing PG in AIIMS BBSR.
 

Faculty Rating
We have 19 subjects in MBBS. Every department has 1 professor, 2 Associate professors, 4 Assistant professor and 4 tutors who are JR or SR. But due to shortage of faculty so every department there are a max of 4 to 5 faculty. Professors were MBBS, MD/ MS, and Mch. Whereas Jr were MBBS and Sr are MBBS and MD/MS. They teaches us in smart classes.
 

Placement Rating
Placement only happen after completion of the 4 and half years course and 1 year of internship. Placement takes place in mostly rural areas after completion of MBBS degree.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes college also offers hostel facility for the students and also staffs. 1 boy’s hostel of 600 capacity. 1 girls hostel of 300 capacity.1 Resident doctors hostel, 1 intern hostel was there.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of College is much better than other medical College in the state. There is a Administrative block where admission process and other office works takes place along with Lecture Theatre were present. Department block where departments were present with their labs, Demo rooms etc. Various Hostel building, staff quarters building, 1 auditorium, 1 gym is there.
 

Campus Rating
Now I have completed my 1st year MBBS in the college. And it's really fun, beautiful and a bit emotional also. Various functions were organised by student union like Elixir: annual function of PRM MCH, academic fest, cultural fest, Dramatic Fest, fashion show, various awareness program, seminars, clinical case presentation etc. World Aids Day, Tobacco Day, Ors Week, Blood Donation Camp were also celebrated in the college.
