Parul University B.Tech Review By Archit Singh

As you walk in the Parul University you can feel a different environment which is very different than the world outside the university because we get a lot of exposure to the international students which are studying the various programs in the university. First year of my college was full of exploration because campus is big so it took me one year to discover each place of the college the best place in the college is the building where there are many shopping complexes and also there are some restaurants there. Second and third year of the college was very hectic and I had study a lot and in my final year I started my preparation for the GATE exam such that I can get admission in Good college for my masters. I choose this university because I was not getting any government college after my JEE Mains exam and then I searched the best private college and then I found that PU is the best private university in the Gujarat. If someone did not perform good in JEE Mains then they do not need to demotivate and they can apply here it is a very good college.

My course was B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering and I choose this because after this I can get good vacancies in the public sector undertaking and also after doing my masters I can have a good career and my time this branch was trending and there was many opportunity in the mechanical engineering. There is no entry requirement for the admission in Parul University, you have to just fill the application form available on the college website and after that college authorities contacts you for the further communication and you visit the campus for the document verification and fee submission and after the final counselling is finished you need to attend the daily classes and has to manage 75 percentage attendance in the B. Tech and there are also many good course that we can do while doing our graduation in the college itself. Eligibility for this program is the we had to qualify high school and intermediate and that is all we need to do.

We come in any university hoping for the good faculty members and I can say that all those teachers who taught me was great and they tried their best to make us understand the subjects. There are 7 theory subjects and three labs in each semester which means around ten teachers taught us in each semester and every single that taught us was good in their own field and their own scope of knowledge was commendable and they teach in very good style and with ease also. Apart from the technical teachers we also attended personality training classes in each semester and the soft skill teachers really helped me a lot in my career growth and they have really positive impact on my life in terms of my communication ability and my speaking skills. All teachers were study in top college and they done their post graduation from much respected universities around the world.

I became eligible for the placement in my seventh semester but I did not appear for the most of the companies since they were just coming for the IT profiles and I did not want to pursue a career in IT domain so I just sit in four to five recruitment process and I was rejected from all because I was unable to complete the coding round which also happen in the core companies and in most of my final year I prepared for the GATE exam and appeared for the same in my final year and I also qualifies the exam. but about the placement I know that the highest package of my batch was 16 LPA for the software engineer profile and the lowest package was of 2.96 LPA for the system engineer profile and in my batch seventy percent students got placed and the remaining thirty percentage opt for the higher studies including me and placements in the PU are good for the Computer Science students.

Hostel was fine but the fee was high, for a three bed room the charge was Rs. 90,000 per year including the mess charge and also we get some extra benefits than the other students because day scholar students are not allowed to stay in the campus after the classes are over and that sometimes feel bad for the day scholars. While being hostellers we get the unlimited access to the college without any restrictions and we can also get the extra benefits free sports equipment and we can also get a free gym membership which good machines and there is also a block for the hobby related sports like Carrom, Chess etc. In winters we arrange bonfire in the hostel and we also get the access to the college library and self study room where we can study 24*7. Many rooms on rent are available outside the campus with rooms rent of Rs. 3000 but they cannot match with college hostel.

Parul University campus is very green and that is the main highlight of the PU. There are many academic blocks in the college and for each course there is a building and the campus area is also very huge and we get lot of opportunity in the campus to work and we can also earn while studying the college. An auditorium with capacity more than 400 students and many events are also organized in the campus auditorium. Classrooms are good and they are equipped with the smart board and there is internet connection in each class with projectors is also the tables are good. Other than the classes in the university the main highlight of the college is the labs and their maintenance of the other resources of the university is also good. There are 3-5 ground in the campus and all of them are huge and many events are organized in those grounds. There is also a clinic in the college for the health checkup of the students.

My college life started in my first year when I attended my fresher event which consist of many performances from my batch mates and from my seniors also after that in the month of December before my University Examination a technical fest was organized in the university in which I had also participated and after that before the university exam of second semester a cultural fest was organized in the university in which DJ night was organized one day and another day there were a lot of performances from the students of the PU. This repeated every year till my graduation completed. Talking about the sports cultural in the University then I would say that It is growing and a lot of students participates in the sports activities and the team of our university also participated in many inter university sports event. There is a lot to do in the college I very much enjoyed my life in the PU without any regret.
