EGS Pillay Engineering College was good for girls because there are lots of restrictions for girls like no one allowed to go out from campus without any permission. In my surroundings this college supports sports compare with other colleges. There is lots of fine like not wearing identity card, shoes, haircut, mobile. They fine 2000 rupees for mobile phone usage. And 200 rupees fine for improper dress code.

There are many courses available like Electrical and electronics engineering, information Technology, artificial intelligence, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electronic and communication engineering, computer science and business science. There is no eligibility for courses. But most of the seats are filled by merits. I want to carry my Career in electrical engineering field so I chose this course.

The faculties are very good and their teaching quality is good. Most of the faculties are very friendly but some of the faculties are very strict and forced the students to follow the rules and regulations like dress code, mobile phone usage etc. Most of the faculties are mastered but some of the faculties have bachelor degree. The faculties are always used projectors only not using blackboards.

The placement cell is very active in EGS Pillay Engineering College. The placement training classes are start from sixth semester. The placement cell provide skillrack platform for students which helps to gain knowledge about the coding. I am a core student but after I used skillrack platform now I can able to solve program in c language as well as python. And the placement cell provides two books are quantitative aptitude book by R.S. Agarwal and General English book for interview preparation. The recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Appranix, Namlatech, Mallow Technology, Vuram, Dhivam, Pinnacle, Cognizant Technology, Edveon, Covai.Co, Wahmi, etc. And also the college supports the students to attend the internship from sixth semester.

The campus infrastructure is good and neat. There are 3 blocks in this college. The SJ block looks beautiful and well designed. The GG block is average. There is an auditorium which is very spacious for celebrating functions. The library is good and has sufficient books for all the students. The water facilities are very good in this college. The college provides pure RO water in all the blocks. The restrooms are average and sometimes it's weird. The classrooms are spacious and neat.

EGS Pillay Engineering College campus crowd is very huge because in mechanical engineering final year class has two sections. Each section has nearly 60 students. Overall mechanical engineering students’ strength is approximately 500. The overall strength is approximately 4000 students. There are lots of club like red cross, entrepreneur development club, etc. But most of them are inactive. Functions are celebrated very grant manner by the college but using students’ fee. The college supports sports and games like volleyball, basketball, kabadi, kho kho, athletic, hand ball, basket ball, badminton, karate etc. And won many medals.
