Overall Rating
My overall experience in NIT New Delhi as of now is great. All the teachers and faculty here are very cooperative. The students here are also very friendly and the seniors were supportive. The infrastructure and the surroundings are very nice. The only problem is that the campus is under construction but as of now, all the facilities are satisfactory. This institute is situated in the capital city of India, so you will be exposed to the industry and its requirements at an early stage. You will definitely get an upper hand in having the information about the current market requirements.
 

Academics Rating
I choose Aerospace Engineering as my course here. This is the first year in NIT Delhi that Aerospace branch is introduced. The eligibility is through JEE Main and you need at least 99 percentile to get into this institute. The examinations are held twice in a semester, one is mid sem examination and the other is end sem examination. There is continuous evaluation for every subject, through which you can develop your ability. The academic facilities here are so nice and wonderful. The academics here are taught very much related to the course and sometimes they take us to Aerospace Laboratories too.
The fees is Rs. 1,50,000 per semester. This includes Rs. 81,000 academic fees Rs. 28,000 of hostel fees for AC room and Rs. 18,000 for non-AC. In addition, you need to pay Rs. 4000 separately for mess, per month.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members at NIT New Delhi are so good and supportive. All the faculty members are highly qualified and passionate in the profession. There are touch screen TVs on which they explain each concept clearly. The teacher to student ratio is around 1:15. Now coming to the student teacher bonding, all the teachers are so encouraging and help with our doubts even after the working for hours. The teachers will also guide you to choose your career in a proper way. Apart from the regular method of study, they also conduct Group Discussions and presentations to improve the skills of students.
 

Placement Rating
Coming to our branch, we don't have any placements as of now as this is the first year, but other branches are getting good placements and the average package is around 14 LPA and recently one of our senior has received 48 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel rooms are spacious and neat. Weekly maintenance will be there and there are 2, 3, and 6 sharing rooms provided according to the availability. The boys and girls hostel is separate and 1st year students are provided hostel at NILERD. The senior boys and all the girls are given hostel in the main campus itself at Dhauladhar hostel and Yamuna hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is ok as of now. The campus is under construction and needs to develop a lot. The library is spacious can accommodate up to 150 students. There are still some blocks, which are to be constructed for the library. After construction, the library can accommodate up to 500-600 members. There is even an auditorium and there are 3-4 canteens in our institute. The medical support is also provided 24/7. Every sport is encouraged. Almost each sport like Chess, Caroms, Table Tennis, Kabaddi, Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis, etc. is there with coaches in every game to train. There is also an indoor gym.
 

Campus Rating
There are very nice events and annual fests conducted. The frequency of the fests is around 4 to 5 times a year atleast. Coming to the campus life, we can enjoy a lot here along with studying and exploring the world. The nightlife here is so fascinating and lovely. Extracurricular activities are there too. You can engage in many different activities, as there are clubs like Photography Club, Cultural Club, Art Club, Sports Club, Technical Club, Top Cell, Social Reform Cell etc. The main and most important act is to make good friends for a good college life.

    I got 99.3 percentile in JEE Main the main reason I choose Delhi is that there will be a lot of exposure to industries and you will not have any transportation problem (mentioning this as I am from Andhra Pradesh).     NIT Delhi is a premier engineering institute known for its meticulous academics. It has good faculty and state-of-the-art infrastructure. Although the campus is relatively small compared to older NITs, it provides a conducive learning environment with good industry links. Placement opportunities are improving.     First of all, the location of the institute is an absolute wonder. We all love the natural beauty and its denseness on campus. The campus is relatively cleaner than the main city. The classrooms are maintained according to the standard. The vegetarian mess has a good taste. The busy schedule will be relieved in the evening with the friends.     As everybody knows about a National institute, I also worked hard and cracked JEE Mains exam to get the institute. NIT Delhi is really a great institute in true meaning. I choose it because of the placements and infrastructure of the institute. Here we are provided best facilities with a great knowledge given by our faculties. I chose NIT Delhi Artificial intelligence & Data Science branch as it is located in capital city due to which I can get the industry exposure very well.
