NIT Warangal: Best Academics With Affordable Fee

Overall Rating
My overall experience in NIT Warangal is good. I would rate my experience 3 out of 5 here. The main reason why I chose this institute is the placement stats and reputation of the institute. The faculty in this institute is highly educated. The difference I observed, which I don't find in other institutes is the strict academic rules with attendance criteria of minimum 80%. Also, the institute is located at the center of the city, which is a good thing.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen Civil Engineering course. I chose this because I am very interested in it. Students who have cleared JEE Main can apply here. This institute falls under the top 3 NIT's in India. Admission into this institute is done through the JOSAA counseling, which is held after the declaration of results of JEE Main and Advanced. Three exams are conducted in each semester. A minor test, mid-term exams, and the end semester exams. The academics prepare every student to face the real life problems.
Fee for 1st and 2nd semester for my course is Rs. 74,000. From 3rd semester onwards fee is Rs. 84,000. 50% fee concession is available for students whose family income is less than 8 LPA and 100% fee concession for students with family income less than 5 LPA. NSP scholarship is available as well.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers of my course are very good and all of them hold PhD in their respective subjects. They explain concepts very clearly and also clear our doubts in the class itself. Most of the teachers here, teach using PPTs but some also use blackboards. The problem solving abilities of the faculty are excellent. Teacher student ratio of the institute is 1:10. Interaction with faculty depends on the student himself. If a student is enthusiastic and curious then there are teachers to help him. We can meet teachers during the day time in their cabins, if necessary.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cell is present in the institute. Information related to the placements is given by the cell to all students. The highest package was 84 LPA and lowest was 4 LPA in this year. Placement rate in our course is not that high but is good.
 

Hostel Rating
Institute offers residential facilities. Different types of rooms are allotted to different year students. There are no strict rules for boys but for girls, the hostel curfew starts from 11 PM. The hostel fee for 1st and 2nd semester students is Rs. 20,000 and from 3rd semester hostel fee is Rs. 12,000.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Some, of the academic blocks are new and have best infrastructure. Other blocks are old but are equipped with necessary facilities. Campus is of around 250 acres located in the town. Classrooms are of different sizes and can accommodate 200 to 40 students depending upon the size. Library has more than 2,00,000 books. Our library is known as one of the largest libraries in India. All type of labs are available, and also many seminar halls are there. Medical facilities are good. Food street is present where different canteens are available. Sports facilities are good. My favorite place in the institute is Time Square.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is not that excellent but is good. For fresher’s it will be a little difficult to adjust. There are many clubs available. Interested students can join any of the clubs but must satisfy some rules. I am not a part of any club, as of now. Not much extracurricular activities are conducted here. DJ nights, musical nights, and fests are held, but not that much frequently. Annual fest called ‘Spring Spree’ is held a grand manner for 3 days. Tech fests held here are good. Campus Life is going well for me till now.

    So my institute name is NIT Warangal, it is in Telangana. I got here through JOSAA. I chose this particular institute because of its placement percentage and learning environment. Here every second you will be surrounded with the brilliant brains of India, this also provides platform for various clubs like robotics club, etc. It has big library which is open all the time....     NIT Waranagal does not need any introduction. It is one of the most prestigious institutes in India. However, my particular reason for joining this institute over other institutes is its placements and internships. Awesome placements.     The overall NIRF ranking of the National Institute of Technology Warangal as per the latest data is 21 in engineering category. It stands among the top three NITs of India that's why I chose NIT Warangal to pursue my graduation from here. Also the placement in CSE in very good.
