When you choose to do Engineering, you can't let life take over, as it is demanding and at Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Mumbai, it's even more demanding. I am on the verge of completing my degree and only I know how I have survived these four years. The start was a bit scratchy because of Covid, as we had online classes for a couple of months before we were finally called upon the campus. Once, we were at the campus the game changed, as it took off straightaway in top gear and never took a break.

Academics Rating

Academic curriculum at this institute is a tough gig because even though it's affiliated to University of Mumbai, we had many new inclusions every semester. Electronics and Communication was perhaps my backup to CSE as I couldn't get that. Admissions are solely based on MH-CET scores and for CSE at DBIT Mumbai, 97 percentile or more is the cut-off every year. Our academics has made me confident enough, as I will be stepping into corporate world in next few months and I know, I will take one thing at a time which is what our academics taught us.

Faculty Rating

Faculties are not mere professors but they have other sides as well. A mere professor means he will take lectures, ask doubts, and leave. Our professors will have fun in the class and will take extra classes biweekly, just to ensure that we are at it. Taking care of every student and paying attention to the students, who are lagging behind is one of their finest qualities. Liking the students, who are doing well is easy but supporting and backing the average or below average students was something which only our professors can do. I am grateful to be taught by them.

In Mumbai, Hackathons keeps happening and Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Mumbai too hosts one of the biggest tech fest of Mumbai called ‘Colosseum’. Just like the name suggests it is one of the most colossal events, as nearly 20 college’s students participated last year. We also have an annual cultural event called ‘Hysteria’ where both cultural and sports activities are promoted. The Institute definitely offered a campus life that made me reach campus on time, as otherwise 8 am classes means the worst nightmare, but it wasn't the same here.

Many may not be aware of the fact that Don Bosco Institute of Technology also offers M.M.S. It is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. MH CET and GD&PI are mandatory to procure admission in one of the most renowned Engineering colleges of Mumbai, i.e. DBIT College.
