Overall Rating
My experience at HITS has been good. I have chosen it because it specializes in Aerospace Engineering and it has a research-oriented approach. Our college not only focuses on studies but also has various clubs to widen students' knowledge and I am a active member of nebula club where we learn about planet and stars.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Aerospace Engineering due to my passion for Space and Missile technology. Our college’s eligibility criteria include an entrance exam and a good score in higher school. The admission process is very easy in our college as there is a separate department for admission. We just need to connect them. The course that I have chosen has 4 years of studies where we have 8 semesters. One semester has one final exam, two internal exams, and a practical exam.
For this course, the total amount of fee for 4 years is around 8 Lakh. I got the scholarship for having a good score in high school. Hence, with the good score, you get scholarship in tuition fee. Apart from the tuition fee, there are other fee for the transport, hostel, and so on. the admission fee will be around Rs. 50,000.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are highly qualified from tops institutions such as ISRO, DRDO, Airbus, Boeing, and so on. Professors use interesting methods of teaching, which contain practical teaching and theoretical teaching, and they use various tools like PPT, e-boards, and animated video for easy understanding. With a good student-teacher ratio, they are kind, approachable, and supportive. The staff are very experienced and they will help us in our research-related work. They also will engage us in various extracurricular activities which will helps us to face the real time issues.
 

Placement Rating
The placement also has separate department where it provides finest training to the student so that they can excel in the interviews. The staff in this department is a team of HRs from very well known industries. Therefore, their teaching helps us to face the interview without fear. Companies like Accenture, HCL, Airbus, and soon have visited our college for placement.
 

Hostel Rating
This institute offers separate hostels for boys, girls, and international students. All of them have two kinds of room one for twin sharing and other for quadruple sharing. Mess provides tasty and healthy food (three times in a day). There are several wardens and guards for monitoring and safety purposes.
 

Infrastructure Rating
In HITS, there are separate blocks for every department. The campus is located in a town where there are many availability for the PG rooms and hotels. Our classroom is equipped with a whiteboard and an e-board. And every class has a CCTV for monitoring the students’ safety. We also have a in campus library, canteen, food shops, medical support, labs, seminar hall, prayer hall, and so on. Our college is well equipped with the practical lab requirements that will enhance our practical knowledge. Overall, the campus is very calm and peaceful as it is surrounded by lots of trees.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is my joy, in my opinion. The students and staff are very friendly and interactive. So, it is a kind of enjoyment to go to college daily. I think that I will miss our college after graduation. It will also conduct many cultural programs and extracurricular activities.

The reason I chose the college was because of its massive infrastructure and the course Aerospace Engineering which is very well known here. I think anyone interested in the same course as me should definitely consider this college even if it's far off from the center- Chennai as it will be worth your every penny, time and hard work.... The support from the accounts department is very bad. They will only see how to get more money from students.
