DAV University from Lens of Final Year Student

Overall Rating
I am pursuing my BBA from DAV University, which is located at Jalandhar. There are many universities nearby it but reason behind choosing this one is its surrounding environment and quality of education. It provides you with actual pratical knowledge, which helps you in career and also provides you industry overview experience by various industry visits. This is all about education. Apart of this, the sports corner or the club corner are also well prepared in university, it gives you chance to improve your extra-activities.
 

Academics Rating
I chose this course because I want to gain of Management sector. This course is of 3 years. The admission process is simple. If we talk about eligibility criteria, one needs have 50% marks in 10+2 and quality university’s entrance exam. The admission process started around March to April. The exams are held in 2 part (MSE & ESE) which means there are 2 exams in 1 semester. Academics preparation gives to compete the real life challenges via strengthen our abilities for competitive exams.
Fee is very nominal as compared to fee of other universities for the same course with such facilities. Each semester fee is Rs. 32,000, which can be vary according to time, means 3-year course will be around Rs. 1,80,000 to Rs. 2,00,000. It also provides scholarship based on entrance exam, 12th score, different quotes, and government schemes.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties of DAV University are very good in terms of teaching or in helping your personal problems. They are very considerate and respectful with the students. Faculty’s background is very highly skilled from their education to work experience. To teach teachers use PPT, blackboards, and also group discussions. There are around 200 to 300 teachers in university.
 

Placement Rating
In our university, there is placement cell, which helps the students for their career. Many companies visit the campus for placement. Few of them are TCS, Bajaj finance, Jio Reliance, and so on. The average package is 15 LPA in India.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, DAV University offers hostel facilities. It has separate boys’ and girls’ hostel. In boys’ hostel, there are around 100 to 150 rooms. Furthermore, Girls’ hostel has100 rooms. It has single as well as sharing rooms. It provides AC or cooler during summer in every room. There is water cooler in each floor. Mess provides food of good quality. It also ensures to maintain the hygiene and quality of food.
 

Infrastructure Rating
University has 3 blocks: Admission Block, Academic Block, and Agriculture Block. There are different departments in each of them. In addition, each class has projector facilities along with the seating capacity of 50 to 60 students. Academic facilities such as library, labs, seminar hall, auditorium, conference hall, etc. are available in each one of them. At the centre of university, there is student centre, which has canteen. This is the place where students sit, enjoy food, and work over assignment or other activities during their free time. It also provides you medical facilities and transport facilities to the day's scholar.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is great. It gives you group of friends and mentors for your successful life. University is not much crowded. There are clubs like NSS, NCC, Art Clubs, Drama Club, and more. There activities apart help you in enhancing your skills. It also organizes fest and events where famous personalities come and entertained you. It is also organizes cultural events and events on particular festivals like Diwali Mela, Holi, Lohri, new year eve., Christmas party, and traditional events.

    It's my second semester at DAV University Jalandhar and my experience from last all time is very good. The college is ragging free and the seniors are very supportive. Students are mostly sincere and there are no political issues, so it helps us to focus on our studies better. The university is still under development or I will say its developing university as they are still working on their infrastructure.
