Student’s Insights on GEHU Dehradun: Admissions, Faculty, & Fee Structure

Overall Rating
My experience in GEHU Dehradun is average. Facilities are very good. If you are a sports lover, this university might be the best place for you because the sports also get a significant preference in the university. This is all about my university experience.
 

Academics Rating
I chose this course because I have an interest in Management. The eligibility criterion for the university is also very easy. You have to score 60% in your intermediate. After that, you are eligible for the university. The admission process is also very easy. There are two methods: first is offline method where you need to visit the university and the second one is online where you can enroll in your course from anywhere. If we talk about the frequency of exams, there were two types of exams: end-semester exam and mid-semester exam.
The fee structure in this university is dynamic because if you are from Uttarakhand. You get a discount of 25%, if you are not from Uttarakhand, you cannot get this discount.
 

Faculty Rating
About faculty, the behavior of faculty is very humble and polite. Almost all the faculties are having PhD degree. The background faculty is also very good. Their problem solving ability is also amazing. Teachers have a strong bond with students. The ratio of teacher to student is also sufficient. The method of teaching is mainly through white boards. However, in many classes, there are smart boards too.
 

Placement Rating
The placement opportunities are average in this university. This is because the number of students is very high.
 

Hostel Rating
The university offers hostel to both boys and girls. The mess facility is very amazing in the hostel. The annual hostel fee is Rs. 1,00,000. every student need to come back to the hostel before 7 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of GEHU Dehradun is good. It has multiple building for various departments. The hygiene in the campus is also very good. The facilities, infrastructure, etc. are no doubt perfect. There is a proper canteen, medical facility, and all sort of other amenities, which students required.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, campus life is very good. The crowd in this university is high. There are many clubs in GEHU Dehradun like e-sports club, bhangra club, and many others. University organizes fests and many events on a monthly basis for students’ fun and interest. My experience here is just ok. I enjoyed here a lot when I am with my friends and facilities here are very good.

    I chose this college as I could not clear JEE. If you are from Uttarakhand, you might know about GEHU. It offers academic scholarships to all the students based on their score in class 12th. GEHU offers good placements and is affordable so I chose this college. If you are a student from Uttarakhand, you should go for GEHU as it is quite affordable in comparison to other colleges like UPES, DIT, and others.
