KU Jorhat: From Academics to Campus Life

I am a student of the The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat and would love to share the insights of the university. I chose this university because it is one the most affordable universities in Assam. It is also accredited by NAAC as B++ university with good quality education and qualified faculty. You can opt for this university, if you want a good university with affordable fee. Compared to other private universities it is a really good.

I chose the course of B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering because I’m a computer enthusiast and very much interested in AI. I want to pursue my dream in this field. The entry requirements and eligibility criteria at my university is that you should have minimum of 60% in your class 12th boards. The admission process of the university is very simple you just have to give your information and qualifications without any mistakes. There are 2 sectional and 1 end semester exam per semester. The academics prepare us to deal with real life challenges in practical way and also for the future challenges at your job.

The semester wise university fee for CSE department is Rs. 55,000 which sums up to Rs. 1,10,000 per year which is quite decent. Moreover students with more than 80% marks in their 12th boards are eligible for scholarship provided by the university.

The faculty of my course is very friendly and easy to approach. Faculty has excellent teaching experience and techniques. All the faculty members have a doctorate degree in their specialized field and have published their research papers. The problem solving ability of the teachers is very comprehensive and good. They solve the problem and clear our doubts in a very easy way. The teacher student ratio is up to the mark as we have 50 faculty members and around 340 students in my course. I share a very special and friendly bond with my course faculty.

The campus of The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat is quite large with fields and courts and also there are many buildings like the faculty building, two class buildings, and an administration building. The campus is large and lush green. There is a fountain which is the center of attraction at the university. Also, there are two canteens and a medical team along with doctor and nurse in the university. Security is also good here. Overall, the campus and facilities are quite good.

I am having a great time here and I am loving the campus life. The university crowd is huge and fascinating. There are many clubs in the university in which students indulge themselves in creativity together such as art & culture, body &soul, literary club, etc. NSS and NCC is also there and I am a part of the NCC unit .There are many extracurricular activities such as ‘Karyonix’, annual week, ‘Techblitz’, ‘Talent Tantra’, and many more. My university experience is kind of average as I am an introvert.
