Exploring Academics at IIIT Bhubneshwar

Overall Rating
International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar is a decent institute with manageable college life. Both the faculty members and students are good. Students are competitive here so you’ll be motivated to learn and practice more. Exciting fests and events are held every 2 to 3 months.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Computer Science branch as it is in most demand right now. Also IIIT Bhubaneswar has grown a lot within few years. For first year, except programming all other subjects are somewhat the same as of class 11th and 12th. It's same for all branches in first year. With the passing years, number of electronic subjects decreases and number of subjects beneficial to CSE increases. Each semester is almost of 4 months and there are two exams in each (mid-sem and end-sem).
For 4 year B.Tech course total fee is around Rs. 13,00,000 to Rs. 14,00,000. Scholarship is given to home state students.
 

Faculty Rating
Here faculty at International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar is very skilled and they teach us in a very easy understandable manner. The faculty members are very friendly. Teachers are supportive and interactive; they help students to grow as a better person. They encourage students to participate in every competition.
 

Placement Rating
Highest placement of the year was 39 LPA. Average placement is 12 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are kind of average in rating. Not properly managed as from time to time water supply is cut short. Also hostel includes mess which provides average quality food. There are 8 floors in each building. Cleanliness is nice as they clean it from time to time and also a lift is there which makes it easier for students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Total Campus size is 23 acres. There is an academic building including a library, conference hall, and an auditorium. Campus has a canteen for snacks. Every 2 to 3 weeks doctor from SUM hospital visits for checkup. Also, there is a football ground in which cricket matches are organized. As of my experience infrastructure is good but can be improved.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good. We have biggest techno cultural fest Called ‘Advaita’. Many coding events are conducted in our institute with best prize pool. Also, there are many societies which help students to improve their skills. I am not a part of any society yet because it doesn't give any benefit as per my knowledge in academics.

    International Institute of Information Technology is a government institute which provides excellent academic and non-academic facilities to the students. It is far better than any private college. The faculties and hostel facilities at the institute are good. Students are provided brilliant placement opportunities at the institute.     Overall it is a decent college according to me. This institute is good for those who want CSE at low rank in JEE MAIN. Placements are good and provide good opportunities to students. You can choose this option if you are not getting CSE in NIT and other better IIIT.... Read Full Review

    Overall, this college has both advantages and disadvantages. It has a partially good infrastructure and good teachers. It has a partially well college life but in the end, you will enjoy every part of it. It is not like IITs or NITs so it can’t be compared to them but I expected the campus area to be bigger....     In my opinion, IIIT-Bhubaneswar is just like a normal college. Of course, it is under Odisha Government and has its own funding, benefits, pretty decent infrastructure, etc. But don't be amazed by the name international and all. Also, don't expect too much like IITs and top NITs. It was established only in 2006. So, looking into the development, it’s a good job done by the institute to adapt within this time span....
