Learn & Grow in NSUT New Delhi

Overall Rating
NSUT New Delhi has been hands-down the best university I could get. Being a JEE aspirant, I always aimed at the tier -1 universities. Getting into NSUT, gave me the top tier seniors, alumni network, competitive peer group, and an amazing campus life. If you were to ever choose between a lower grade university with CSE and a tier 1 university with lower branch, please prefer a tier-1 university. I have had seniors, who worked really hard and cracked international offers. Your peer group and your alumni network define many things in life.
 

Academics Rating
I took Mechanical Engineering specialization in B.Tech. While I always wanted CSE, I settled for Mechanical. I was able to crack JEE and to get into NSUT through JAC counseling. A girls' quota seat somewhere helped me through. I guess luck real matters. Unlike other engineering universities, it conducts exam very frequently. We have 1 mid-semester examination and 1 end semester examination in every semester.
The fee of this university increases to Rs. 10,000. During my admission in 2022, fee was 2.2 Lakh. This year in 2025, its 2.5 Lakh. There are scholarships for meritorious and cast based scholarships. I received the Reliance Foundation Scholarship worth 2 Lakh in my 1st year. I would recommend that to every fresher.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty depends a on the course. While most of the faculty includes PhD holders, with high experience. There are research scholars as teachers too. The teacher to student ratio is usually 1:70. The faculty is approachable in terms of doubts. They also take students as interns for research projects.
 

Placement Rating
The training and placement cell monitors the company process along with students’ data in university. For year 2024-2025, highest package 64 LPA with average ranging between 12 to18 LPA. With a good GPA and decent skill set, you can easily crack placements.
 

Hostel Rating
I am a 3rd year student living in hostel. There are three hostels on campus: Saraswati Hostel, Kaveri Hostel, and Alaknanda Hostel. At GH1, there are about 500 students residing. The facilities are similar to any government hostel. We have a mess canteen, which provides decent food. There are 3 washing machines for clothes. For girl’s hostel-1, hostel fee is around Rs. 33,000 with mess fee of Rs. 23,000. Similarly, There are 4 boys’ hostels. There is also a guest available for students’ parents to reside (on paid basis).
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure facilities at NSUT New Delhi are amazing. The campus is spread across 148 acres with lush green flowers, trees, and well-maintained blocks. The best part of campus is APJ hall, 11 rooms and each having a size of 150 students. There is a very beautiful fountain in between. The campus looks amazing at night. There is library, a big sports complex, medical hall, and 4 auditoriums.
 

Campus Rating
Well the university and campus life sums it all. There are around 40 student societies, which will keep your entertained for the whole year. The best of university are fests. ‘Moksha’, the annual cultural fest has had a footfall of 2 Lakh students last year. It only grows bigger with great artists. I am in my 3rd year, its ending soon. I hope I get to live the remaining one year fully. It has been a great journey.

    Netaji Subhas University of Technology is best in respect to coding culture. Here there are lot of societies and constant events happening related to tech field and the course is well designed for the tech branches in terms of subjects including DSA, CP, and DBMS.
