MSIT Kolkata: Good Institute with Up-to-the-Mark Facilities

Overall Rating
This institute has good faculties and supportive staff who are very helpful and keep students knowledge up to date. MSIT Kolkata has good labs with up to date lab amenities and faculties. The institute has no strict attendance schedule and students are free to pursue other things along with their studies. Overall, the institute scores quite well over most private institutes in West Bengal.
 

Academics Rating
I chose this course because of my passion for Computer Science. It focuses on how the IT industry operates and what it requires. I believe that skipping certain subjects like Biology, Economics, Constitution, and EVS can make the learning experience much smoother. There is also a need for more technical advancements.
Fee for the chosen course that is CSE after through WBJEE is 7 Lakh. Tuition fee per semester is Rs. 95,000 and Registration fee is Rs. 3,200. Special discounts are for students with SC/ ST category or TFW candidates. Scholarships are also available like SVCM and Jindal Scholarships.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are quite knowledgeable and know their subject quite well. They have published quite a lot of research papers on public domain and are pass outs from reputed universities like Jadavpur University and IITs. Their prime method of teaching is using blackboards, PPT presentation. The teachers emphasis on problem solving skills is Exemplary. The teacher student ratio in this institute is 1:60. Teachers are quite frank and helpful. The teachers make sure student understand concepts clearly and feel free to repeat concepts.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cell of MSIT Kolkata is quite experienced and has worked in previous top reputed institutes. The student placement cell is quite active in bringing companies to the institute. Placement drives and other initiatives are made by them. Last year, highest package was 14 LPA and average was 4 LPA. The highest package offered was 21.64 LPA in 2023 (BNY Mellon Technology) and 33 LPA in 2022 (Amazon). Top recruiters include Amazon, IBM, TCS, and McAfee. Approximately 50% to 60% of students receive internships with companies like Microsoft, Dell, Intel, and Godrej. The most sought-after offers are in the Computer Science course.
 

Hostel Rating
No, hostel facilities inside institute. Although, surroundings areas have good private hostels for both boys and girls.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the institute is average as the campus size is compact. All the students are provided with basic facilities. The classrooms are good. Sports facilities are also provided by the institute. Additionally, I wish it would improve the size of the ground.

    So at the time of WBJEE known as West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination my rank was about 26765. Now it's the time to choose the best college in all over the west Bengal.
