What Future Aspirants Must Know Before Joining IMS Unison University

Overall Rating
The most important factor is that it provides one of best placement in management courses among Dehradun universities & colleges and the location of university is so good. It also provides opportunities like industrial visit, outdoor projects, and many more. Especially in Management courses, it provides a large number of subjects and specialization in the last year. If anybody wants to experience fest events along with good education and support, he or she should choose this university and management of my university is also good.
 

Academics Rating
I chose BBA because first of all its professional degree and I belong to Commerce background and this course provides knowledge about Management and I want to further do MBA so it will help me in building base. The eligibility criterion of pursuing BBA in my university is having above 60% in 12th exams from any stream. For admission, the person has to apply first offline or online then an interview happen and accordingly the further process will begin. The exams happen on the semester basis with mid-term and end term exams in each semester.
The tuition fee of my course is Rs. 1,50,000, exam fee is Rs. 7,000, medical charges are Rs. 500, and extracurricular activity charges are Rs. 3,500 yearly. The university provides a discount of 40% with Uttarakhand domicile and scholarship on basis of 12% in first year.
 

Faculty Rating
The facilities of IMS Unison University are so supportive and well educated with each faculty with a PhD, other degrees and some faculties are IITians, and some have completed their education from top universities in India. The method of teaching of each faculty is different: some teach using PPTs some with whiteboard, and some with group discussions. All of them are very serious about their job. They always solve your problems if any, are familiar to the students, and make bonds with the students. My experience is so good with some faculty and bad with few facilities for different reasons
 

Placement Rating
The placements of IMS Unison University are good for Management and Hospitality course but not for Mass Communication and Law course. The placement cell helps the students with group discussions, interviews by providing practices to the students and giving insights. The companies which have visited last year were Flipkart, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, and more. The average package is 6 LPA and the highest package is 17 LPA both.
 

Hostel Rating
The university has one boys’ hostel and one girls’ hostel. I have lived in hostel during my first year and the mess was good. The rooms were big and facilities were also good. There were two categories of room one was room for two people sharing and other was like an apartment with three rooms each in an apartment with two people in each room and one washroom in each apartment. The girls’ and boys’ hostels are separate. The fee of hostel is Rs. 1,44,500. If Rs. 5,000 for security and laundry charged are included, then it increases to Rs. 1,54,500. There is no ragging strict in my university.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of IMS Unison University has different buildings for diverse courses with admission block and 2 libraries. It has cafeteria and many food outlets like Amul, Nescafe, and more inside the university. The capacity of classrooms is 50 students per class. We have 2 seminar halls in two different buildings. It provides bus facilities for local students. The size of the campus is small but the facilities are good. I like the Central Plaza as we can chill there with our friends. I hope the university starts providing some sports facilities in the future.
 

Campus Rating
My overall experience is okay. Personally, I wish the crowd was much better. I liked the activities or events conducted by the university such as 'Lamhe' fest, ethnic day for celebrating different cultures of India, various workshops, sports events, and other activities. They also provide industrial visit, movie day out, picnic, and other things. The annual fest is done for three days with two celebrity nights, one DJ night, and competition among the students of different departments. The overall experience is nice. I made few friends. I liked the location, as there are mountains weather around my university.

  • Good for studies; average for placements - IMS Unison University

    Overall, the IMS Unison University is good if you are looking for good studies but don't expect much for placements. The Registration process is pretty much simple followed by an Application form. Be ready with the fees for the 1st semester and 1-year hostel (in case you avail of this facility) as this is the upfront payment that needs to be made on the first day of admission itself.     The city of Dehradun is very big and this city contains so many colleges. Generally, Dehradun is a spot for private colleges only. Do you know why there are so many private colleges in Dehradun and not in any other city in Uttarakhand? It is because private colleges promise their students great packages.   • IMS Unison University has got both a good fame and a good name

    IMS Unison University was quite far from my home but I kind of made up my mind to study here as I heard a lot of good things about the college. BBA was my preferred bet as after opting commerce in higher studies there aren’t much options. The university has a great infrastructure, a great management that look after its students extremely well. There’s no ragging or things where juniors have to obey senior’s orders.
