NIT Kurukshetra Review

Overall Rating
Currently I am pursuing B.Tech in Mechanical engineering and I am 3rd year. My experience till now at NIT Kurukshetra is very exciting and it's a roller coaster ride to search your field of interest and making new friends. You will have a great exposure in the college and will get to know a lot of things about cultural exchange as well. I choose this college because of the placement statics of the college from the past years. There are a lot of opportunities in industrial field from college.
 

Academics Rating
There are a number of courses available in NIT Kurukshetra currently which includes CS, IT, ECE, Mech, PIE, EE, Civil. For entry in any of the courses, you need to score a good rank in JEE Mains and clear the cutoff of the particular course for that particular year. Motive for enrolling in one of the courses firstly is your interest in that field and other is for having a good career.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty here is very helpful and supportive in all the fields. There are senior level faculty who have wide range of subject knowledge and industry knowledge as well. Currently minimum 8 faculty member are assigned to each section of a branch for different subjects. Teachers hail from a pretty good family background and well groomed families.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell in the Institute. There are various companies that contact the placement cell and the placement cell works to bring more companies as well. So yes they do help the students a lot. They provide the information about companies and how to crack the interviews.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there is a hostel in our college. The infrastructure is great. Different hostels are there for boys and girls. Mess food is not so good, but manageable.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The newer academic blocks are better than the older ones. The administrative block is very nice and the market as well as the sports campus is really nice. The student activity center is also nice for students to have fun. Library is very peaceful to study and lawns are great to hang out with friends.
 

Campus Rating
NIT Kurukshetra Campus life is very good. The crowd is more from Haryana. The cultural clubs are great to be a part of. Students can learn a lot from them. They can focus and work on whatever they want to do Or learn something new. The fests are treat to our eyes. A lot of people come to our college to participate in our fests.

    My thoughts regarding this college are very clear. This is the best college in Haryana. The greenery is awesome. This college provides us lot of opportunities and they did many fests. I really enjoyed so much in the fests. The seniors and the faculty members are really very good. Their behavior is very nice. The teaching style of some teachers is really good.   • Life in NIT Kurukshetra

    In starting I don't like the college much because there is no event, no fresher’s party, etc. But after 20 days almost every day something is happening. Sometimes I miss some events happening in college. I choose this college because this is in my state, and I got computer science in reputed NIT. Others should take look in this college because there is no ragging and mess food is decent and seniors are very supporting. According to me this college is 9/10 not 10/10 as we can't allow to go outs... Read Full Review

    National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra is a really great college. The college has a great campus with over 290 acres of area. The college is full of greenery and the infrastructure if quite good. The classrooms and labs are fully air conditioned. The college has its own lake inside the campus.
