Review On IITJ

Overall Rating
My overall experience at IIT Jodhpur has been quite good & fun. I found the curriculum at IITJ to be reasonably up-to-date & more flexible compared to subsequent IITs, hence I chose this institute. The hostel & sports facilities are also better compared to other institutes. But do read the detailed review of the other sections below before making your decision.
 

Academics Rating
I'm currently enrolled in the bioengineering branch, which has been a good decision. In the Post-Covid era, I feel the importance of healthcare systems & medical technologies will increase tremendously, hence I chose this field to go ahead with. Entry requirements are simple, after the JEE Advanced examination through JOSAA counseling you can get a seat in IIT Jodhpur.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculties here are PhD graduates with a few years of teaching experience with them. They are highly qualified & well-versed in teaching you new & exciting stuff. You may find some extremely modern using smart boards while few still prefer to use chalk & slate. Placement Rating
Placement records have been improving year by year. We have a placement cell which helps students to get into the industry. To find statistics related to placements, you can find them on our website.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels of IITJ are one of the best ones among all the IITs. We have single occupancy rooms which are fully air-conditioned! Our hostels are basically the unique selling point of our college.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Being a 2nd Generation IIT, infrastructure is new & modern. We have a Lecture Hall Complex (LHC) which houses all the lectures of the institute. Each branch has its corresponding departmental building too, where you can find the professors & their labs. There's a sports complex consisting of a football ground, cricket ground, hockey ground, basketball courts, tennis courts, squash courts & many others. You can find the library too filled with course textbooks, and a computer lab too inside.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is exceptionally great! The crowd at any IIT is filled with a diversity of different cultures since we have students coming from various parts of the country. Also, we have an endless number of clubs ranging from photography to stargazing to programming. These clubs can definitely keep you busy for whole semesters. Along with these clubs, we even have sports societies ranging from tennis to football! And to put the icing on the cake, the fests are truly a unique experience; to organize & participate in them.

    As a government funded technical institution, this institute becomes the most obvious choice of students who really want a great college life and moreover you enter in this institute by cracking JEE Advanced, toughest entrance exam of India and if I talk about the institute it is a must go college if you want quality education, never forgetting campus life and most important thing is that what will learn here will help in your future career....     My overall experience here is awesome. Compared to other second generation IITs it has better infrastructure and faculty-student bonding. Here we get single occupancy fully air-conditioned rooms from first year onwards, which brings you more effectiveness and productivity. Fests make your college life fun.   • A Cold Place in the desert

    Firstly, I choose this college because it is in my home state. The overall environment of my college is very good and overwhelming. The academics, placements, sports etc. all are very good, and opportunities are there to take your career to new heights. There are some negative things about my college, but it overtakes all and is number 1 2nd tier IIT.... Read Full Review

    Don’t think IIT Jodhpur is not worthy as good as IIT Indore, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Dhanbad. Yes it is not as good as IIT Bombay or IIT Madras or IIT Delhi, But among new IIT’s it’s got good Infrastructure, Good College Life, Nice Hostels and Mess, And what every student searches for good placements as well. So it will be worthy if you got an admission in IIT Jodhpur just take it by closing your eyes.... Read Full Review

    Overall it's a very great college with an amazing campus spread across 850 acres. The thing I like the most about IITJ is that it focuses on your overall personality development apart from academics. Here you can explore different clubs such as astronomy, music, dance, drama, programming, robotics, entrepreneurship and what not!! You have a plethora of amazing opportunities available out there.
