SASTRA University: A Place Full of Knowledge and Opportunities

Overall Rating
Studying at SASTRA University is one of best decisions of my life. The lessons taught, the friends I met, with a diverse culture and students from different cultures, SASTRA University will make you ready for tackling the real life challenges. It provides numerous courses including but not limited to CSE, ECE, Bio Engineering, BA, B.Com, B.Com.LL.B, BBA.LL.B, B.A.LL.B, ICT, Aerospace Engineering, Optometry, B.Ed, etc. It is a huge campus with all amenities needed for a good studying environment.
 

Academics Rating
The course I had chosen to join was BBA.LL.B (Hons.). The professors at SASTRA University are helpful and understanding. The criteria for enrollment will depend upon your CLAT rank and 12th Score. Here, 80% focus will be on your CLAT rank and 20% focus will be on your 12th marks. Admission process is a very easy with no unnecessary extra steps. As my chosen field is Law, there will be 3 mid terms per semester and a final exam at the end.
The fees at SASTRA University for the 1st year will be Rs. 60,000 per sem. It will slowly increase to Rs. 70,000 by the end of your 5th year. Students can apply for scholarships such as the National Scholarship and others.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members at SASTRA University are well educated and they teach well. They push the students to be their best and help them reach their true potential. The professors at SASTRA University are always making sure that the students understand the concept well and that they can apply it practically too. They use PPTS, group discussions, group assignments, etc. to make the class engaging. They are very approachable and help whenever needed.
 

Placement Rating
The placements are great at SASTRA University. As a law student, the placements and job offers are amazing.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, they offer residential facilities. There are rooms for occupancy of 4, 3, 2, and 1 student. There are rooms with attached bathrooms. Girls and boys hostel is separate. The mess food is very hygienic and healthy. The hostel fee varies based on the room but Rs. 20,000 per semester is the common price. There are more than 5 buildings on the girl’s hostel and they are very spacious.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of SASTRA University is very huge and lush green. The buildings and infrastructure is very good. There are basketball courts, student areas, gym, football court, tennis court, indoor basketball court, cricket place, and canteens at every corner. The campus has many gardens, a temple to pray in, a singing hall, and separate basketball courts, tennis courts for girls in hostel.
 

Campus Rating
There are many clubs in SASTRA University for different interests. There is English Lit Club, Hindi Club, Telugu Club, Drama Club, Music Club, Dance Club, Robotics Club, etc. There is the main college fest called Kuruksastra which lasts for 3 days. Many competitions will be held in this fest and it will also have many food stalls. Celebrities will also be invited here to perform in this fest. There is another short fest called Carpe Diem. You will always have fun in SASTRA University.
