My Academic Journey at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College

Overall Rating
The Vishwakarma Government Engineering College in Ahmedabad is best place for getting education as you will find most of all the engineering branches here. As the faculty here is very supportive and always ready for mentoring I found this college very enriching. It adds value to learning. There is also plenty of space outside every department's block where you can sit with friends, discuss projects and can enjoy. You will get quality education there in fewer prices.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen Electronics and Communication Engineering. As today is the era of technology so gaining knowledge in this field is very important. I got admission in this college with my 12th board’s marks and GUJCET marks. The academics prepare us for the real world challenges by making us aware with the new world technologies. There are mostly midterm exams of 30 marks and after that there are semesters exam. The level of exam is moderate and it is not that much difficult to clear the exam.
As this is government college the fees structure is quite affordable. The total fees of my course are Rs. 6,000. There is some relaxation of fees to SC/ST student. There are many scholarships provided to these students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members teaching at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College are from the recognized universities. The faculty members have deep knowledge about this field and gaining knowledge from them is really a great opportunity. They use blackboard and ppts to teach us. The problem solving ability of faculty is good. There are enough faculties for the students. When we got stuck in our project or we want some advice the faculties are always ready to help us. They behave in a friendly way with us.
 

Placement Rating
In Vishwakarma Government Engineering College the placement cell are mostly managed by IT department. The placement cell tries their best to get the students placed in the companies. They conduct sessions to make it easy for us to understand that what the companies really want from us.
 

Hostel Rating
In Vishwakarma Government Engineering College hostel facilities are there. The boys and girls hostels are separated. As the college is government and the fess structure is bearable. The mess facility in the college is not up to the mark. As my friend live in the hostel, I know the timing of hostel. At night after 8 o'clock you are not allowed to go outside.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The size of the campus is quite big enough. Library, Labs, Auditoriums, etc. facilities are available in the college. My favorite place is Library; whenever my lecture got cancelled or I am free I go to the library. For different branches of engineering, separate building blocks are allotted. The building contains all the facilities for the students. We are having A- block that handles all the college related works including administration, paper work, and other official task.
 

Campus Rating
My overall experience in Vishwakarma Government Engineering College is good. I thought the government college must be not disciplined and reliable but after getting into the college it totally changed my mindset it was totally different. The college arranges seminars and webinars. Also alumni meet ups so that we get to know what are the things we also have to prepare to reach to that position. In sports we are having Vishwa Cups in our college to encourage students to take part in physical activities. At last I will recommend to students who get this college, that it is really one of the best colleges.

    In Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Ahmedabad, most of things are good such as hostel life, college life, average faculty, labs, and classes. In this college have decent placement cell as it provides placements to more than 70% students in on-campus placements so that is why I select this college.
