What Makes SIT Nagpur a Good Choice?

Overall Rating
I chose this institute because of its good reputation and brand name. The infrastructure and amenities provided by the institute is top notch & better than other institutes. My overall experience of this institute is good. The teaching faculty is good. The placement cell is evolving. The curriculum is to the point, but some subjects can be updated for better industry experience.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Computer Science & Engineering because of my interest in coding and problem solving. The eligibility criteria for our institute is via JEE, CET or institute’s own exam SITEEE. After you have selected the college, you are called in campus for further admission discussion. The frequency of exams is unit test every month and semester end exam at the end of semester. The academics prepare us really well for the current market and industry.
The year wise fee was about Rs. 2,70,000 and now it has increased to around Rs. 2,80,000. We get free discount on Nagpur domicile, but it is only for a select number of students on first come first serve basis. There is a scholarship for students who perform well academically.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculty members are postgraduate and have a doctorate degree as well. They are knowledgeable in their subjects. Their teaching method is mostly with PPTs. There are about 25 to 35 teachers and around 800 students in our institute currently. The faculties are very helpful and approachable. They have good problem solving skills as well. They also teach in group discussions and practical format. They also sometimes teach on whiteboard.
 

Placement Rating
Our placement cell of SIT Nagpur is evolving. It is actively helping students in placement activities. Many companies have visited our campus, such as HCL tech, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Global Logic, Accenture, etc. The average package is around 6 Lakh. My placement experience is good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is in the outskirts of Nagpur and it is very huge. The infrastructure and the buildings are really good and beautiful. All the libraries, labs, seminar halls, and classrooms have AC & Wi-Fi. There is a mess, canteen, and cafeteria. There are multiple sports in the sports complex, such as basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court, gym, table, tennis, pool table, etc. There is also a medical centre.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is decent. The crowd is very diverse. There are multiple clubs, which are run and governed by students. The clubs include technical club, cultural club, and literacy clubfeet. The student council body is also run by students. There is also an entrepreneurship cell in the Institute. There is a technical and cultural fest every year, which is named 'Enthusia'. My experience about the campus life is decent.
