Oriental Group of Institutes, Bhopal: My Opinion

Overall Rating
It’s a basic engineering institute. I can say that as it provides good facilities like good teachers, labs and nice infrastructure. I think the syllabus should be updated and several modern techniques should be used for teaching students. Apart from this Oriental Group of Institutes is good.
 

Academics Rating
I opted for engineering in B.Tech in specific branch of AIML for which there is no criteria of marks; you can directly visit the institute to take admission. They perform an inter institute counselling based on JEE percentile and then they allot departments. You can also register through MP DTE if you are a JEE student and you can get scholarships if you are eligible for it.
Fee for my course at Oriental Group of Institutes is Rs. 1, 20,000 per year and the fee remains the same for all 4 years.
 

Faculty Rating
One faculty member teaches more than one subject. The teaching methods used by the faculty members and their knowledge are not up to the mark. Although, some teachers have good knowledge of their subjects and they behave nicely with the students.
 

Placement Rating
Placement at Oriental Group of Institutes depends on the intelligence of student and what skills they can bring on the table for an organisation. Companies do visit the institute but only skilled students get the opportunity.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, Hostel facilities are provided to the students by Oriental Group of Institutes.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Oriental Group of Institutes has old big buildings and has a beautiful campus. It is one of the biggest institutes of Bhopal. Oriental Group of Institutes has a huge library and 12 grounds. There are 4 buildings in Oriental Group of Institutes one is Oriental Institute of Technology, Second is Oriental Institute of Science, third is for Pharmacy, and fourth is for MBA. All of them share same canteen.
 

Campus Rating
The Oriental Group of Institutes is much disciplined. You can’t go home after entering institute without any application. The institute majorly focuses on academics only. There are no fests, events or any societies for student’s engagement.
