Ahmedabad University's B.Tech Admission Proces

Ahmedabad University is known for its diverse course offering, reputation, curriculum and infrastructure. The faculty members here are highly educated and very helpful.. Students are given freedom to do minor course offered by the university alongside doing their major degree. Infrastructure is great as there is a green lush campus with all the amenities within the campus like library, cafeteria, GYM, tennis court, badminton, etc.

The course I selected was Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science & Technology enrolled in 2021. I took admission through JEE. Students can take admission through JEE or Board + GUJCET. The admission process starts from short listing process. After that personal interview is conducted by the respective department in which student, want to take admission. Then the admission offer is given. During a semester in a course, there are multiple quizzes, viva, mid-term and end term exams. The curriculum is well designed for each course so that the student can be ready for a real-life challenges.

For B.Tech in CSE, the tuition fee is Rs. 3,50,000 yearly and Rs. 14,00,000 for the duration of 4 years. Also, student need to pay additional fee for books required in any particular course, which is offered by university and it is compulsory. There are multiple full and partial scholarships available to the students based on the criteria set by the university for the students whose family income is less than 5 Lakh per year.

The faculties are highly educated and very helpful with almost every faculty having PhD in their respective fields. Faculties are from Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Chemical are part of School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) here. The teaching method is mostly the PPTs in all the course offered here. Faculties are strict but they are very helpful in all the aspects from the curriculum and extracurricular.

The placement cell is very active and highly helpful. The highest package for the students if B.Tech in CSE was 13.38 LPA and the lowest was 5 LPA. The average package was around 6.2 LPA and all the offers were internship and placement.

Infrastructure at Ahmedabad University is great with all the amenities available within the campus premises. There are multiple buildings in the campus dedicate to different school which is AMSOM, SAS, SEAS, Heritage, and University Centre. University Centre has dedicate area for club activities, indoor sports, student lounge, silent study area, indoor basketball, indoor badminton, cafeteria, medical support, etc. There is also outdoor sports area for cricket, tennis, basketball, football, volleyball etc. Campus has three different library available with the central library open 24/7.

Campus life at university is so good. All the events are held within the campus, as there is specific area designed considering this thing. The college crowd is awesome. University offers different extracurricular activities throughout the semester. Every year, 3 fests take place from different schools where every student of the university can be part of the fest. There are more than 20 active clubs in the university and they conduct different event every Wednesday after 12:30 PM.
