Admissions in AVV Coimbatore: A Guide for Aspiring Engineers

Overall Rating
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is known for its top NIRF ranking and better placements. It also encourages students in both technical and non-technical activities. Lab sessions are conducted frequently to enhance the practical knowledge of students. Workshops are also conducted so that the students could develop their skills and logical thinking. We can have a real life experience on engaging in such activities. It is also known for its better environment.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Tech (ECE) as my course since I have some interest in electronics and curious to learn things. Students who want to enter in this university must score at least above 80 to 85 percentile in the entrance exams, so that they can easily enter through allotted slabs. These slabs also have hierarchy of fee. The process of admission is done online. Exams are conducted once in 1.5 months, semester weighs about 60% and mid-sem weighs about 40% of marks.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculties are well trained and teaching is fine. Methodology is also good as faculty is using both blackboard and projectors in order to provide a clarity teaching. 20:75 is the teacher to student ratio. Bonding with faculty is fair but can be improved. However, a few teachers are encouraging and also caring. They give good advises to enhance the students mark.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are fine in ECE branch at present. During last placements, the package was 13 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, hostels are available with 4 sharing rooms. Rooms in the new block are excellent (according to me).
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of AVV Coimbatore is so good. Few of the buildings look ancient. The overall campus area is around 400 acres with greenery and chill climate. It is located in Ettimadai, Coimbatore. Classroom capacity is around 65 students. Library, labs, seminar halls, auditorium, conference hall, etc. are available with huge number of seating capacity. There are three canteens (MBA, IT, &Main Canteen). There is a clinic near the hostel. Grounds and all the roads inside university are well maintained. Scenery of AB1 is awesome.
 

Campus Rating
My overall college life is good and unexpected. There is a massive university crowd that ranges over 7000 to 10000 students. Students from many regions have joined this university such as Telangana, Kerala, North India, and other parts of Tamil Nadu. Many NRI students also reside here. There are many clubs for students. However, I m not a part of them yet. ‘Anokha’ is the main event held in our university.

    AVV Coimbatore provides good placements. It has a good campus with mountains surrounded and overall has a nice climate. It has a different curriculum from other universities. The faculties are well experienced and friendly. The students get a nice exposure to different skill set of people very. The seniors are friendly and helpful to the juniors.     Before coming to AVV Coimbatore, I thought my campus life wouldn’t be that joyful. Nevertheless, after coming here, it has been proved wrong.     AVV Coimbatore is a good and reputed university. It not only gives preference to academics it also gives preference to sports as well. The main reason I chose this university was placement but due to Covid, placement is less but after few years. It conducts many events and celebrates many festivals.
