Overall Rating
I was always into research and being a Biology student, I had a very brief idea regarding Bioinformatics. I had already taken admission in Anthropology when I was going through the college site to check and my eyes got into this field. I immediately filled the form. Then after getting into BJBAC Bhubaneswar, I learnt so many things. It was one of my best decisions. Very few colleges in India have B.Sc in Bioinformatics and this is one of them.
 

Academics Rating
The eligibility criterion is to crack its own entrance exam. I took admission during the time of pandemic, so I just had to submit 12th marksheets. There were mid sem exams in every semester and then final. The mid sem exams were easy but the finals were a bit difficult.
The fee structure was Rs. 25,000 per year. I have no idea regarding any scholarships.
 

Faculty Rating
Honestly, the faculties are supportive and help us in everything. The method of teaching is using blackboard but they provide students with notes and PPT. The background of teachers is from Bioinformatics only. The bonding is also very nice and they try to help each and every student.
 

Placement Rating
There used to be placement cell but due to some issues, it was been shut. Now the management is trying to bring it back. The teachers are very helpful in giving recommendations whenever needed and conferences take place, which help students to make their contacts.
 

Hostel Rating
No, the college does not provide hostel facilities. Students can get hostels and PGs near the campus. Teachers help them in this too.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus of BJBAC Bhubaneswar is pretty. The infrastructure should be refurnished, as it is very old. The canteen is nice and the shop in the campus is very helpful. The sports field is big enough as many students can play at the same time. The library of our department has enough books and we can issue it for a week or 10 days.
 

Campus Rating
In our department, we celebrate freshers and farewell, that was a great fun. If you have good friends, just as I had then this college life is fun. The college crowd is average. My campus life was fun as we use to have fun even in the classroom. It is really important that you should keep both studies and fun in the same level.

    Overall BJB college is a best choice in Bhubaneswar. It is one of the well known colleges in Odisha. Here a student gets chance to actively involved in any area in which is he or she prefer. I am Suman Kumar got 82.8% in 12th class and yet I got selected in 3rd phase. The competition is high. My overall experience in BJB college is quite joyful and I preferred sports in extracurricular activity.     Overall Buxi Jagabandhu College is a good college. Here the educational facilities are world class, and the college fees are very minimal like Three thousand rupees a year. Every student can opt this college as; there are hostel facilities, I am glad to have a student at this college.
